**Location:** Conveniently located just a couple of blocks from downtown, though crossing Highway 676 (between 12th and 13th streets) is required. We encountered a few unhoused individuals nearby—safety wasn’t a major concern, but staying aware of surroundings is advisable. **Room:** Spacious, clean, and comfortable with all necessary amenities. Plenty of outlets near the bed and desk, though some were loose or outdated, making charging tricky (a few couldn’t hold plugs securely). **Gym:** Small but adequate for a quick workout, with a few essential machines. **Service:** Outstanding—efficient, friendly, and professional. Special shoutout to Ray for excellent service! **Breakfast:** Basic but satisfying, offering juice, coffee, eggs, sausages, fruit, cereal, bagels, and muffins. **Amenities:** Tiny shampoo/conditioner bottles may be difficult for those with arthritis. Suggest switching to wall-mounted, eco-friendly dispensers. **Showers:** Hot water takes a few minutes to warm up. **Elevator:** Smooth and rarely a wait. **Parking:** $38/day in the lot across the street. **Overall:** A solid choice with great service, reasonable pricing, and decent amenities. The minor inconveniences (loose outlets, slow hot water) were outweighed by the positives—I’d stay here again on my next Philly trip!

I was in town for a conference, and I was booking late, so booked BW to keep my cost down. I'm an older female, BTW. The staff was wonderful. I don't know about the breakfast. It is walking distance to the convention center. As a female, I didn't feel comfortable walking back after night (grabbing a rideshare). The Night Owl Bar was handing and super friendly! My room: Lovely My only complaint is the shower. My first day I ran the water and it didn't warm up. I took a cold shower. When I asked the manager, he noted that I wasn't showering during a typical time and I really need to let the water run for many minutes. Afterwards, I let the water run 4-5 minutes. The whole hotel has been renovated except for the showers ;) Older tile. The shower head will work for someone 7' tall. Yes, the water gets hot after 4-5 minutes (including the sink). The service - they will slam doors early in the morning (even if you are sleeping in). You may or may not get service. When I did get service, they took out the remnants of the shampoo/conditioner and didn't give anything new. Would I stay here again if needed - Yes!

I had booked 2 nights at this hotel as a solo traveler with work. Upon check in the male receptionist asked for my identification. I provided my driver's license to which he told me he can't accept, he can only accept my passport. I didn't have my passport with me and he refused to check me in as a result. I told him it wasn't specified that a passport was required. I was left stranded with no access to Wi-Fi trying to book another hotel and missed my first meeting as a result of this. No assistance provided by the hotel. I've attached the information from the hotel which I suggest should be updated to specify a passport is required upon check in. Extremely disappointing and poor service. I would recommend staying in the CQ Rittenhouse instead. Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely rooms and location.

FIRST AND NO MORE TO COMEBACK, I WAS A BESTWESTERN DIAMON MEMBER (of course i had stay in all bestwestern) and in this place i got my bad experince with BESTWESTER. Worst of all, i lost shopping bag from target in the front my room door's. I come from target and when i just open the door but is no work and i went down to front desk fix my key went back upstairs (only gone 5 minutes? [time to take elevator and turn around] ) and my bag is gone. At the time 2 of house keeping come to my room For take them key's was left in my room they just after clean up my room. But they was ask me what happend and i tell them if i have lost my bag ( all inside my shopping bag is a girls stuff ) so they call for other friends and look like real busy for help me. To find it we just open all the room but still nothing , then i was hopelss and go down for ask because i wanna see the camera then meet the manager and he help for any report to GM for get accses to camera. When i go back to my room i had feel to check in emergency door at my floor, omg i got my other 1 bag in behind the emergency doors with the 2 pack wipes just is i got, and need to come down for tell them i was meet my other bag and say i know who is take my bag.. until i check out they not show me the camera. I say oke bye for y'all.. is for the cleaning service the most bad CS i meet, for front desk was great staff.. i have report by email and they say for ^ I see you enter the building with three Target bags. You get on elevator 1. You get off on the third floor with another guest. You then get back on elevator 1 without the Target bags.. You then take the elevator to the 4th floor(where your room is located) with no Target bags. In your statement, you said one of the bags was found next to the staircase on the third floor. However, I see you entering the stairs on the 4th floor, where you remain for about 45 seconds before remerging into the hallway with a Target bag. I see the guest you got off the elevator with entering the third floor stairs with Target bags several minutes before being located on the 4th floor. The next day, I see all of your luggage left unattended on the 6th floor. Including the Target bag. Please accept my sincere apology. I know how frustrating this experience must have been for you and your family but rest assured the team had nothing to do with your lost items. ^ For make sure if u had good staff ask them where my toy tedy bear i leave in my ex room 413 to 717 and 616 is for 2 days more i stay after i leave my tedy bear. Try to quite because i was think they will drop and until i checking out they never give me and i was oke no tired to ask better go and never ever would i stay again. For that sort of speed it's systematic and I imagine it happens often,,, tx

*look the pic is my tedy bear and this pic i when stay...

Do not stay here for the love of god. BED BUGS ROOM 308. Checked in for one night stay yesterday and it was all around disaster. First, I asked front desk to hold one key for my friend who was joining me later in the night as I was going to be at a concert and would not be able to leave to provide her with a key to the room. They handed me one key and put hers in a separate envelope saying it would be held at the front her until 9pm when I advised she’d be there to check in. She showed up and had to go through a million hoops to get the key, she was told that there was no key ever held up there for her and they argued with her for awhile even though I was actively texting her the room number with all of the info needed. I did not get the chance to inspect because I had an uber coming to pick me up almost right after check in so I dropped my stuff on the desk and headed out - when my friend finally got into the room she pulled the covers back and saw they were dirty and used. The bed was remade and never changed the sheets. It took them two hours after reporting to bring clean sheets and she made the bed up herself. Housekeeping did not even do it. THENNN we wake up the next morning and my friend has multiple bed bug bites. Absolutely furious we had to throw away all of our belongings that we brought with us and now I can only hope it wasn’t transferred to my vehicle during the ride home. When we went downstairs I did not see anyone at the front desk both times we checked that we could report to and we both felt absolutely disgusting so we just left and called to be checked out. We advised the person on the phone that we had just left the property and we were bitten by bed bugs and he said there was no manager in to speak to. Come to find out just now when I called back myself that there was a manager there all along. I called a second fine later in the day and was still told there was no manager. Didn’t get tot speak to someone til 6pm when I called a third time. Was told that since we did not show the proof of bites before leaving the property that we would not be getting reimbursed. We both have lost out now on not only the money for the GOD AWFUL STAY but now hundreds and hundreds of dollars on the belongings we had to throw away to avoid infesting our homes. I will never stay with best western again and I can only pray everyone else that sees this does not stay either. I want my money back and THEN SOME so I can replace all the stuff me and my friend lost due to the careless of this property. According to multiple other reviews before me, bed bugs is not a new issue. I wish I checked them before staying. I will be calling the health...

Title: Horrifying Bed Bug Experience + Dismissive, Unprofessional Management – Do Better, Best Western

I stayed at the Best Western in Philadelphia specifically on Vine Street. It was for two nights, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

My issues began the moment I arrived. I got to the hotel around 5:00 AM, exhausted from traveling with two kids, one of which is a toddler, and asked politely for an early check-in. The front desk agent was immediately dismissive, telling me there were “no rooms available” and that I wasn’t on “the early check-in list”—a list I was never told I needed to be on As a Best Western Plus member. There was no effort to help or even offer a time frame. It felt like I was being brushed off from the moment I walked in.

Still, I let it go. I’m an unproblematic guest, very easy to please, and I rarely write reviews because I usually give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt. I tend to let small things slide—but this situation escalated beyond anything I could overlook.

After returning home from my stay, I began experiencing itchy, painful welts and was horrified to discover they were bed bug bites. I contacted the hotel to report the issue, only to be met with a cold and accusatory response. Because I didn’t report the bites while I was still there, they implied that I was lying or fabricating the incident. They also claimed that a guest who stayed in the room after me for one night had no complaints— as if that somehow negates my legitimate experience after staying there for two nights.

Their so-called inspection “found nothing,” which is not surprising considering bed bugs are incredibly difficult to detect without a licensed exterminator. The way management handled this issue was disrespectful, dismissive, and completely lacking in empathy. Instead of taking accountability or offering support, they went out of their way to distance themselves from responsibility.

I had to deal with the physical discomfort of the bites, emotional stress, and the tedious and expensive process of deep-cleaning everything I brought with me to prevent an infestation at home. I received no reimbursement, and no effort to make things right, only a measly sorry for an excuse apology which Mr Mike the manager could have kept.

If you’re thinking about staying here, I strongly urge you to reconsider. Not only was the customer service unaccommodating from the moment I arrived, but the follow-up was even worse. A hotel that refuses to acknowledge serious health and hygiene concerns is a hotel that...
