Moved to the area recently and started scoping out new specialty coffee/cafes– so far, Elixr is my favorite! Their espresso is the most consistent, balanced, and smooth out of everything I tasted in the area. I usually get 2 shots to make a sparkling americano, with an occasional black, unsweetened cold brew (which is also pretty balanced and perfect for the warm weather). I like that they have accessible payment methods for cash, card, and contactless pay (virtual wallets/Apple). People seem to go hard for the Strawberry Milk Latte? I always hear people order it whenever I'm there.
Loon, Heidi, and Logan are also superrrrr sweet baristas. They're each super welcoming and I appreciate how welcoming they are since I'm new to the neighborhood~
The interior of the cafe is pretty spacious with seating at tables, bar-height counters, and a few cushioned seats (one couch towards the back wall creaks like a mfer). Limited outlets throughout the cafe if you need to charge your electronics, but they can become occupied pretty quickly during peak hours. There's a single-stall customer restroom (basic accessibility, uncertain of ADA compliance but there's a wheelchair ramp at one of the entrances + wide door).
Whenever I'm there to read or work, there's a decent mix of people casually working or socializing. I notice a lot of people meeting up to work on laptops or people from the neighborhoods/large apt buildings that surround the cafe.
Not a critique, but an observation: WEIRD choices for wallpapers/wall decals, though they do help to offset the exposed mechanical piping towards the high, lofted ceilings. The decor keeps my ADHD entertained cause I'm looking all around the...

Pros: gorgeous huge windows bringing in lots of natural light. Perfect for doing work or catching up with friends (the music usually isn't too loud). My friend got the Irish potato and that was good; tastes very similar to the Starbucks iced shaken brown sugar oat milk espresso (what a mouthful!), just with less coffee flavor.
Cons: I disliked my drink. I got the strawberry matcha latte and the matcha flavor was extremely weak. The strawberry tasted artificial (like strawberry pocky if you've ever had that!). Also too sweet for me, but some people might enjoy it! Also, not a huge deal but the cashier felt a little unapproachable/unfriendly. I've been here twice and both times I felt that they didn't want to talk to me (while I was ordering). Very few words, stares into space, etc. But maybe they were having an off day--so again not...
Read moreMy stepson and I stop by this coffee shop every 3rd Wednesday of the month in hopes of purchasing the most scrumptious croissant and strawberry oat milk latte with some of the funds from my divorce settlement (lotttt of money). Unfortunately we leave empty-handed each time. I milked my ex-husband for every last dime he had (he is destitute), but one thing I WON’T do is spend a knick-knack patty-wack nickel of it supporting union busting! I suppose this millionaire (my attorney was vindictive) is going to have to settle for Dunkin’ in the meantime. My stepson Gwyn shouldn’t be exposed to this, he loves unions and this would KILL him. Please don’t kill my stepson Elixr, he’s my world!! #supportunions #ilovemyfamily #lundylaw...
