This use to be my favorite dessert place in philly, I always want to stop by this place when I'm in south philly and as early as I can because they sell out so fast. Ive gotten so many friends and family hooked onto this place. The filling and puff bread was always fulfilling. However, recently they changed the size of it. It's now way too much breading(thicker) and little to no cream. Before it use to be every bite you had was cream but now it's i can eat half of it and no cream filling at all.( i brought 5) They reduced the size of their signature puff balls to more breading and little cream. So it's just not as soft and fulfilling as it use to be. I understand that eggs are expensive rn- i personally wouldn't mind paying more for the original. Not this. Sad, I probably won't be coming back unless they go back to...
Read moreI live in Atlanta but I was planning to visit this place while on a trip. I ordered a cake roll ahead of time to try it out: the birthday bolo de rolo. It was authentic Brazilian baked goods, but I could tell it was made within the spirit of the city. I loved it and can't wait...
Read moreI really wish I had a better rating for this place. I was super excited to see them opening nearby. I moved here from boston, where there are a good number of Brazilian bakeries, and this is the first I’m aware of anywhere near us in Philly. I was especially excited to see what they’d do with the sort of elevated, boutiquey take. Finally got there the other day, spent like $16 on a chicken/corn pastry and a peach sonho. They were both absolutely beautiful, but honestly didn’t taste nearly as good as the same thing for half the price at any random Brazilian corner store in Boston. I hope I’ll have a chance to give it another shot, but...
