Salon Oko South — Local services in Philadelphia

I am a new client at Salon Oko and have since recommended this salon to everyone I talk to! My stylist, Juaquin, did an incredible job. I went in to lighten up my hair as it's been almost two years since I had my naturally blonde hair highlighted. Juaquin and the staff made me feel welcome and he asked me questions about specifics in the type of "blonde" I was looking for. We looked at some photos and the end result is so beautiful. The conversation was really collaborative and I felt confident he was going to do what I was looking for. Once he was finished, my complexion brightened up immediately and I swear, I looked five years younger. As the summer approaches, I plan on going back to Juaquin to amp up the blonde as I will be due for a touch up. The products they use (Kevin Murphy) smell AMAZING. Seriously, they give Oribe a run for their money.

The salon's location in East Passyunk is incredibly convenient for anyone who lives in the area but is also very close to the Broad Street line. This is my rally call to all the natural blondes out there! If you are worried about a new stylist  nailing the color, I totally get you. From beginning to end, their customer service is exceptional and delicate to your needs, from my urgent need for an appointment, they accommodated my schedule, Dilara over the phone was so understanding, to walking into Oko South and greeting by Liz with the most delicious tea. I was so lucky to be in the hands of Juaquin Cameron, who listened and provided true hair care, full on hair therapy to be honest. This is such a bright, comfortable, and laid back salon! Conveniently located a few blocks from the Tasker-Morris subway stop, it is really easy for me to get to an appointment here traveling either from work or from home.

Juaquin has been my stylist for almost eight years, and I'm so happy to see him land at such a nice spot. He always gives a great cut that compliments my natural texture and is really helpful with recommending products that have a good value.
