I used to work there as a bartender and this location is run very poorly. Management yells at staff in front of customers, creates a hostile work environment, and treats employees unfairly, which has even been mentioned in other reviews by customers. People who worked here for months, consistently pulling shifts, were suddenly given 0–1 day a week. They just used any one they could get to open the location just to push them out once the location started gaining popularity. The way they manage staff is completely unprofessional. I would not recommend supporting a business that treats people this way. The management is terrible all the way to the owner. He even came in one day and called the whole kitchen in the back a “soccer team” because they are all hispanic, but management hired them, and a dish washer walked out that day which is justified because that is completely disrespectful. It is unfortunate that such a horrible team was put together to run this location because the food is good and the location...
Read moreMy daughter and I went here for lunch today. The place wasn’t busy, but had a few tables and several people at the bar. We ordered our drinks and a regatta board from the starters menu 10 minutes later. Our awesome server came back to ask us if we were ready to order our food and we were so we placed Our order.
Within five minutes, our food came out, but still no Appetizer we told her then to cancel it because it took too long and our food is already here. Within a few minutes, she brought it out anyway, and said it was on the house. It took extra long for this board to come out. There was just no reason for .
We have been to the other La Scala’s in the area and they have been fabulous and we thought the same thing for this one. However, the food was so salty and my Pasta was so hard it was definitely not al dente. We may give it another shot. Maybe it was just a bad cook on today, but our our waitress made up for the Over salty food,...
Read moreTo begin, I'm biased because I've anticipated the same great food as their location on Chestnut Street. But I was very disappointed! Ordered Chicken San Remo, which is amazing on Chestnut. It came out first with the wrong sauce (Sent back). Then, the manager brought it to me with the correct (vodka) sauce, with apologies. Tasted like it was rinsed off and tossed with the sauce. I let the server know. The manager came to apologize with an excuse that the sauce was "freshly made, not in batches like other locations" which made no sense. It should always be freshly made. They did take it off the bill, but I would rather take the drive down Chestnut Street to get the quality food I always get from the other location. It's a shame cause I'm around the corner from the new location and eat out a few times a week. As to the atmosphere... more of a loud, sports bar-type atmosphere. Not upscale or quiet ambiance as...
