Lee's Hoagie House — Restaurant in Philadelphia

When I walked in at 9:27 PM they were about to close up so they argued among themselves as to who would help me. They were cleaning up and handling the chemical that they clean the grill with and then making food with the same gloves on. All the while while they describe the chemical as poison and don’t open the package with your mail. I ordered fries and wings and a hoagie. They took fries out of the fryer a small handful at a time with her hands. They did the same with the wings picking them out one at a time instead of dumping them into a basket like normal. It looks like two teenagers and 20 somethings working there they spent more time on their phones and they did work in the place is old and run down inside. The Decore hasn’t been updated since 1980 it looks like. Very unprofessional this time. The meat and cheese for the hoagies was just laying out on a big tray in the open air not refrigerated. There was a small trashcan sitting next to the Hoagies she was making because they were cleaning up for the night. First time there and the young lady was having a bad day she had a long ponytail and was Asian I was asking about there sandwichs because it was my first time there and she was no help she don't know how the sandwich it she never had one that was fine but you make them all day how do they look do other ppl like them . So I got a corn beef special and it was almost $12 so she had to to pay for it before she made it and then a guy come in and order 2 sandwich and he didn't pay for his Sandwichs until the end and he was telling me the sandwichs are good and I'm like ok cool so the young lady pulled the bread out to make my sandwich and then she just stop and started to make the guy sandwich I'm just like ok maybe she making someone else sandwich that called in but that was a lie it was for h I was just smh like wow so you make so one sandwich that came in after me . The cornbeff special is not good for the price but there tuna looks great that's what the guy had I hope the owner see this first time there...

We are long time customers of not only this Lee’s but also the original at 19th and Cheltenham. Tonight was the worst we’ve ever experienced from them. First we placed an order for 2 hoagies and 1 FF. The order was placed at 6:10 pm and we were never given a delivery time. We called back at 7:10 pm to find out where are delivery was. The woman then told us it was going to be an additional 45-60 minutes more for delivery. If we were informed in the beginning we would have picked it up and the hoagies and FF’s would have been ok. This review would then not exist or would have been positive.

It finally arrived at 7:34 pm. Both hoagies were warm and soaked through the paper. The FF’s were ice cold. Both hoagies we’re supposed to be lite oil and 1 was supposed to have extra Mayo and HP. Both were missing. This is not the first time we’ve had issues, but this was the worst. We are done with this shop. Not sure if Seymour is still alive, but he would never put a hoagie out like this...
