I don’t want to make this a negative review because 1) the açaí bowls are delicious, and 2) owner Frankie and everyone working there is super nice. I just think it’s very over-priced!! I was so excited when I heard this place was coming to Fishtown because we don’t have any other smoothie/açaí places, and I truly hope they stay, but I can’t justify spending $14.99 for an already small bowl, especially when it’s not even completely filled. For the prices, these things should be filled to the brim. I understand everything is more costly in this area (been living here 6 years) but I’ve been to other açaí places in Philly that give you bigger bowls. I hope the owner will at least consider making more of a conscious effort to really fill them up to the very top!! I’d probably be here more often if the portions were a little more generous.

Visited this location in Fishtown and was extremely disappointed in the offerings. Especially since I absolutely adore all the stores in New Orleans Metairie, Louisiana. This location had NONE of my favorites & the wellness shot that I did get from this location: "strawberry ginger lemon" was not spicy frm the ginger, bitter from the lemon nor Sweet from the strawberry. It was just disappointing and bland. They also didn't even have free samples to try or any Activated Black Charcoal juices. They didn't even have any Blue Majik juices or smoothies and the young lady in the store didn't even know what I was talking about. So I guess I will only be able to visit my hometown locations instead of out of states ones.

I won't be going here again until they accept cash. Besides the fact that it's discrimination against the unbanked, it's a terrible idea to try to make society cashless. I did notice that they accept cash tips though. 🙄 * * * edit RE: "small business owners" Yeah, you're a real estate broker and neither of you even live in Fishtown, Philadelphia, or even Pennsylvania. Also, thankfully I got a screenshot of your first reply (with insult included). * * * 2nd Edit: This guy had his aunt write to harass me on social media. Wow! Changed to 1 star and definitely telling everyone I can not to support your toxic business. Enjoy the burbs Mr. "White Flight". lol

The Kale Blend bowl ("Muscle Magic") was so expensive (~$16) for what it was. The portion was a lot smaller than expected, and the consistency was like a watery juice with grainy chunks in it. It was extra disappointing because before ordering I asked if the kale blend was liquidy and like a juice, and the worker said that it was thick and not as thin as a smoothie; but it definitely was thinner than a smoothie. It was like water. It also tasted like water. The granola became like oatmeal because it soaked up the liquidy kale blend very quickly. They could've put more toppings too to compensate for the lack of flavor in everything else.

For a bowl named "muscle magic" too, I expected it to be more substantial, but it felt like I ate nothing.

The worker was really friendly though, so I feel bad for leaving a 1 star review, but the bowl I got really was so bad. Maybe their acai base bowls or smoothies are a bit better, but the kale blend bowl was not for me.

Update: The owner responds to you really quickly, and they are a small business actively trying to improve. If you end up not liking what you get, the owner says they will happily remake it for you or refund you. They refunded me, which I really appreciate. If you want to support a small business, pay them a visit and...
