Mayfair Diner — Restaurant in Philadelphia

It was my first time in Philly, and I've always wanted to visit this place, being that it was on my favorite movie, Creed. However, it's not what I expected. The host was friendly, and we got seated right away, and the waitress was nice but forgetful. I never understand why servers believe that their memory is good and that they no longer need to write things down. I typically see my servers 3 to 4 times during a typical order to table process. In this visit, I saw my server 9 times and not because she was checking on us but because she forgot items off of all of our meals. And it was only 4 people sitting at the table, lol. I didn't get mad. I figure it would teach her to write things down the next time. I could really enjoy my food because it didn't come so at once. I had the Philly steak , and if this is your first time going to Philly, I would not recommend getting a Philly from this place at all. Later during the week, I tried another Philly place, and omg, you would just have to read that review. Nevertheless, the breakfast that my husband had looked good and the few items I took off his plate tasted good as well. My suggestion would be go here for breakfast...

Stopped in today and the chipped beef was outstanding. Love the home fries with onions. The best coffee around !!! Great breakfast here love it. Excellent service ...hot and fresh. One of my favorite places. Never disappoints thanks for serving great breakfast!! I'm a repeat customer since childhood. Just adding a note. I almost always go to mayfair and order the same thing chipped beef. Well I had a taste for something different so I ordered 2 eggs over easy with scrapple. It comes with hashbrowns and buttered toast. The eggs were made to perfection... buttery and not overcooked nor undercooked. The scrapple was wonderful the outside with a nice crunch and the inside soft and blazing hot...well seasoned with a distinct peppered flavor. The potatoes were nicely seasoned and the buttered toast was a nice addition. I always tell the waitress I come for the coffee and believe me I do. But the food is perfection and worth the trip. I love this diner and I have loved it since childhood. Over 40 yrs. Go get some breakfast I promise it's worth it. Oh and the price was...

I applied for wait staff and Election time is I put myself on separation of differences in society. Highest voter 2019 so I can be officially good choice if freedom is factually a must. To torture a person out of her home is wrong organized crime of NE and i love the onion rings and soup and fish dinner is delicious.
