An Utter Disgrace and Discrimination at its Worst
I am appalled, disgusted, and completely disheartened by the treatment I received at the McDonald's on Grey’s Ferry. My experience there has left a taste in my mouth far more bitter than any food they could possibly serve.
During their closed drive-thru hours, I made an honest attempt to order from the drive-thru on my electric scooter, adhering to the apparent "drive-thru" principle. But what I faced was nothing short of discrimination and utter disregard for basic customer service.
The staff at this location didn't just refuse to serve me; they completely ignored me, treating me as though I were invisible, as if my method of transportation somehow diminished my value as a customer. I was met with cold stares and utter contempt, all because I was on an electric scooter.
How can a global brand like McDonald's, known for its customer service, allow such blatant disregard for a paying customer? Their actions send a clear message: if you're not in a car, you're not worth their time.
This incident isn't just about a refusal to serve; it's about the complete lack of empathy, respect, and understanding from the staff at this specific location. They have not only failed in their duty as service providers but have tarnished the image of the brand they represent.
I urge everyone to think twice before visiting this McDonald's. Their actions have proven that they are not in the business of serving all customers equally. Rather, they pick and choose based on discriminatory practices. It's a shame, a stain on an otherwise reputable brand, and an experience that has left me feeling humiliated and unwelcome.
I will never return to this location, and I hope others will consider doing the same. Let's not support a place that clearly lacks basic human decency and understanding. What happened to me at the McDonald's on Grays Ferry was wrong, and I won't let it go unnoticed.

Read morehorrible store/people no one answers the phones take order correctly ont times it’s genuine workers it’s at night during the day I can never get my food within 15 minutes let alone calm the store 30 minutes before to get information it’s horrible from 1-9:30 the children who are there can’t do their job right their always dancing and eating the food they don’t look very sanitary and the store is always a mess very bad shift during the day and it’s not once or twice a month/week it’s Every day and it’s getting worst my brother had to be refunded his meal twice because they couldn’t get just for a manger to say next time they won’t be able to do that I’m not going for it the GM there is a little boy who can’t control his staff during the day bc their all kids it’s it’s said because it good they want to work but it’s with very little structure and discipline and that makes the service unbearable why are there cars at the last window every 10 minutes that mean whoever making/taking orders not good at it or the team that’s actively there during a certain period really need help I received a soda half full more then once and it wasn’t my door dasher/uber eats driver fault that store is horrible the workers need to be regrouped the kids there make it hard to flow and I’m honestly tired of waiting an hour or 2 every time I order every time lastly attitudes the people during the day highly nasty at times not professional at all and it’s worse Inside because you actually get to see multiple people playing around dancing doing tik toks and it’s 4-10 orders in the lobby of every type and everyone just waiting over 20 minutes for fast food that is unheard of in new buildings. I will be reporting this to the store investors,higher up’s, and private investors. the store is alright during the morning and around night but the middle of the day it’s horrid and hard to continue...
Read moreI actually don't understand how on God's given earth , this location is actually still in business ...I have complained about this location to the McDonalds corporate office and told them to re-train the employees working here and better the quality of service and food. This location gives a terrible name to McDonalds otherwise well known fries because this specific location gives you fries that have been left for hours, oh and refrain from ordering from uber- this place will literally NEVER GET YOUR ORDER RIGHT EVEN THOUGH ITS WRITTEN RIGHT THERE FOR THEM ! THE EMPLOYEES DO NOT KNOW HOW TO BAG ITEMS...the employees are extremely unprofessional and ...I'm sorry but, their uniforms don't even look washed with stains all over them ...I'm from Toronto, Canada and I've worked in McDonalds in my teenage years and the requirements were very strict ...we didn't even serve coffee that was one minute past the given time on the coffee pot...we had to make sure we greeted customers with a smile and helpfulness which was always overlooked by managers and when we walked into work, our managers would keep an eye on our uniform to make sure it's clean ...and wearing the proper pants and shoes for the job ...I've seen women at this location wearing yoga pants with their uniform ...anyways this location smells like actual sewage, I have no idea how the people working here actually work here and also it's so dirty ! Just look at the floors and dare I say DO NOT ENTER THEIR WASHROOMS , YOU WILL REGRET YOUR EXISTENCE ...I encourage everyone to go to the McDonalds website and complain to the corporate office about this location, I have already done this.
