I recently had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life with the McDonald's location on 24th and Oregon Ave. Let me preface this by saying that I understand mistakes happen, but the level of incompetence and rudeness I encountered was beyond unacceptable.
I placed an Uber Eats order from this location and waited patiently for my food to arrive. After a considerable wait, I noticed that the status of my order hadn't changed, and it seemed to be stuck in the "preparing your order" phase. After waiting much longer than usual, I decided to call the restaurant to find out what was going on.
When I finally got through, the person on the other end was incredibly rude from the get-go. There was no apology or attempt to understand my concern; instead, I was met with an annoyed tone and dismissive attitude. I was told that they "didn't receive any Uber Eats order" and that it wasn't their problem. When I tried to explain that I had been charged and was just looking for an update or a resolution, the employee interrupted me multiple times, essentially saying it wasn't their fault and that I needed to take it up with Uber Eats.
Frustrated, I asked to speak to a manager, hoping they would handle the situation better. Unfortunately, the manager was just as unhelpful and ignorant. Rather than offering to check on my order or provide any assistance, the manager bluntly told me that they were "too busy" to deal with this and that there was nothing they could do. The lack of empathy and professionalism was staggering. At no point did anyone from the restaurant attempt to make my order or rectify the situation.
As a customer, I felt completely disregarded and disrespected. Not only did I not receive my food, but I also had to deal with incredibly rude staff who seemed to have no interest in customer service or accountability. I ended up contacting Uber Eats, who were much more helpful and refunded my order, but the entire experience left a very sour taste in my mouth.
To make matters worse, this isn't the first time I've had issues with this particular McDonald's location. On previous occasions, orders have been wrong, items have been missing, and service has been slow. However, I decided to give them another chance, thinking it might have been a one-off bad day. Clearly, I was mistaken.
I will not be ordering from or visiting the McDonald's on 24th and Oregon Ave again. If you value your time, money, and sanity, I suggest you avoid this location at all costs. There are plenty of other McDonald's locations and fast-food restaurants that actually value their customers and provide decent service.
This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. McDonald's, as a brand, should not tolerate such poor customer service and unprofessional behavior from its franchisees. I hope this review reaches the right people and prompts some serious changes at this location. No customer should ever be treated...
Read moreOn January 1, 2022 I came to this McDonald's and placed a curbside order at 4:44pm. I sat at curbside to 5:23 with no order. I called in the restaurant to ask, if my order was ready, and the girl on the phone told me, she didn't know. I said do you know, when will my order be ready and she said, she doesn't know. I said what do you mean you don't know I paid for my food at 4:44pm and it's now 5:23 and I've no food. The girl said we only have 3 ppl working, but she was very nasty, arrogant, rude about it and hung up. I called back a second time and, she started yelling in the phone that they've only 3 ppl working and to come to the walk up window, but there wasn't a walk up window and the line was wrapped all the way around the bin. I pulled up to the drive thur window, when I saw a gap in the line, and asked why I never received my food, when I paid and why were they being so disrespectful. They started to argue with me and make threats. One woman said, if she open the window, she was going to do this and that, and throw something on me. I made sure to let them know I was going to call corporate. I asked for one of the women names, she wouldn't give it to me asking me why did I want to know her name, and I explained I'm going to report her to the corporate office. It was raining that evening, and I'm assuming they didn't want to bring me my food. Rain or not that's your job. Then no one never prepared my food at all. I usually always do curbside and never have a problem until that night. I never received an order, and didn't leave to 5:33pm. Between 4:44pm and 5:33pm no helped with my order and it was never fulfilled. All three of those women that worked New Year's Day January 1, 2022 should be fired. No employee should argue with any customer at all. 0 tolerance!!! Two of the women had long red or burgundy braids. The other girl you couldn't see, and the two women with braids started hiding behind the machines and wouldn't come to the window until I left. I've a whole 7 min video of the woman arguing with me slamming the window close and hiding behind the machine, so she couldn't help me. Terminate those women and hire people with dignity and respect, who wants to help people they serve, and want to...
Read moreI was at Shop Rite and went next door to McDonald's to grab some grub. However, they had closed the dining room and were only serving drive thru guests and were handing orders through a fairly new window for Uber eats, Door dash, anyone but me ☹️. I had walked to the supermarket and don't have enough room on my phone, and even if there was, I wouldn't have installed thier app. F-dem. Of the 3 employees that I tried to speak with, 1 went to get a manager and never came back nor did a supervisor, the second tried so hard to pretend not to have heard me at all, I must admit she did a great job of pretending as she really just kept moving as if she had ear plugs and blinders on, the third presented very apologetic, but did nothing to help me get food. IDK if I can/should be critical with the shadow of the COVID pandemic over the earth, but my experience this trip was horrible, since I went home without dinner. I have to admit that I feel a little nasty with this review but thinking back, the staff's attitude and failure to serve patrons well, has a firm stance in history at this location.
Despite, the state of world health and the many steps we are making habitual in order to preserve life, restaurants, even fast food joints, are a service industry. Customer service is critical for a positive experience and management at this location has never shown me that there is any effort to train employees to smile and to be as helpful and accommodating as possible. I'm seriously disappointed but who the hell do I think I am, to expect to leave a...
