9/2/22...I did a takeout order and picked up Mike's ribs. I have to say, they were delicious! They don't even need any sauce. They are meaty, tender and have so much flavor. Thanks Mike and staff, love your hard work and delicious food!
1/30/22...I just did a take out order and as usual, the food is so very good. Someone told me to try the brisket cheese steak and I'm sure glad we did. The grilled onions and cooper cheese wiz give the tender brisket so much flavor and it's perfect on the Carangi roll they use. Of course being super hungry, I had to add their chicken wings, their beef brisket sandwich and their collard greens and cornbread! Wow! That's a lot of food, but the meal wouldn't be complete without dessert, banana pudding with a caramel sauce. Thank you, Mike and staff, for a most delicious meal.
Wow! There is so much to say about Mike's BBQ. Let me say, I am so glad they opened right down the street. Mike and staff always say hi and make you feel welcomed. The place is clean, and you can either eat in or take out. Our tried and true favorites are the pulled pork sandwiches, with or without Cole slaw, the beef brisket and the dry rub chicken wings. There are also sides, like warm potato salad, very unique and other sides we haven't tried yet. His sauces are also unique, like the white sauce is really good with the chicken wings. You will become a fan, his food is very good! Updated review September 2020...Mike's beef brisket is awesome! His corn bread is delicious and he uses eco-friendly containers. My son recently went back to college and I ordered take out from Mike's and my son took it back to school and he really enjoyed it. Thanks Mike for your delicious food!!!
4/10/24… Welcome to the neighborhood, Daniel and staff. The food from Mike’s bbq is delicious! The ribs are cooked to perfection and I am looking forward to trying some of the new items...
Read moreI'm going to try to do this review as partial as I possibly can but I must start off by saying this review was influenced by the appearance and presence of Philadelphia Eagles Center Jason Kelce at The Establishment. It was a shocking surprise to see jason there and as an Eagles fan it was a pleasant surprise, although I must admit I was distracted by the smell of the BBQ walking through the door and the cute Asian chick that was at the counter as well but anyways I digress. I ordered the half pound brisket and the quarter pound pork ribs, medium potato salad and gouda mac and cheese. Let me start off by saying that both the brisket and the pork was perfectly cooked made flavorful ribs, satisfying even for me; a picky BBQ eater who likes a little bit of fat on my brisket, the beef brisket was amazing and the pork ribs was also good especially without any sauce, I didn't put any sauce on either meat's because I was taking out and traveling. The potato salad was pretty good my only gripe with it was the potatoes were cut a little bit too big and the dressing for the potato salad was more vinegary then mayonnaise-based which is my preference but with that said the masses love it so I can't fuss too much. The gouda macaroni and cheese was a Superstar. When I got home I almost ate the whole medium mac and cheese container off the rip, only thing it was missing was cracked black pepper which I added myself. Those four items came out to $38 which wasn't bad for the portion you got which was more than enough. I would recommend this barbecue spot to anyone in the Philadelphia/Jersey area and this is coming from someone who lives Uptown, near Cheltenham Avenue, it's worth the trip.
Note I was recommended to this establishment by JL Jupiter, check out his youtube channel for more underrated eateries in the Delaware...
