We came here for Mother’s Day and it was such a nice time and a great dinner! Mauricio, is a wonderful, hardworking server. We were given complimentary nachos and they were delicious! All of our food was so very good. I have to go back for the shrimp, the sauce was amazing. My family enjoyed the ceviche and my steak and ravioli special was so very tasty. I have to mention the churros, which were served hot, were one of the best I have had. They were delicious! My sincerest “thank you” to Mauricio and his family, dinner was so very good!

It was my birthday and I chose this restaurant for dinner. My family know that one of my favorite foods is Mexican food. What a great choice I made. From when we walked into the restaurant until we left, it was perfect for me. Not super fancy, very at home, comfortable feel. Mauricio, our server, was very friendly and accommodating. We started with the quacamole trio, which was so very fresh and delicious with freshly made tortilla chips. My daughter had the chicken tinga tostados, my son had the steak huarache, my husband had a steak dinner and I had the quesa birria tacos. We also ordered a salad. The food was delicious! I've eaten inside the restaurant once, and 3 to go orders. I generally order their enchiladas with their special sauce but today I ordered a chili relleno burrito. I never order burritos but I have seen others order them and they look delicious. It was quite good. The pepper had a little bit of a bite, which I like, and they gave me 4 sauces. There is so much competition on 9th street for Mexican food but this is my first choice for a walk-in or to go. The prices are reasonable and the food very good. I went to Palenque with my family today, 2 young kids and my two in laws who are a bit older. Please note that my Chinese in laws aren’t the most adventurous when it comes to food, but we all loved the food! We ordered a Mole Poblano, Al Pastor, Beef Tongue and Fish tacos, and a Guacamole. Portion sizes were great, all the meats and ingredients were cooked impeccably and authentically.
