They are extremely overpriced for the portions of food. They will dispute any bad review. I give honest feedback for 10s of thousands of restaurants I've even at. Vegetable pho is 90% noodle, 10% Vegetables. It's a disgrace and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
(In response to your ridiculous reply to my rating and your accusations that I have more than one account) It was the ratings from everyone else who ordered with me that day who live in the same house!!! ALSO, other one star reviews from those accounts are the same people that order with me because we ALL LIVE TOGETHER. The fact that you are trying to mislead people to believe that I have other accounts is PATHETIC. My reviews as well as my roommates are ALWAYS honest AND accurate. Why would one person order THREE drinks? Because it's for more than one person, common sense. It's not my fault you guys screwed up MULTIPLE times and your low review ratings clearly reflect it. I hope people read this and understand that we are honest. I still confirm that my original post is 100% accurate and would highly recommend ordering from somewhere else. Clearly the restaurants disgusting response and lack of responsibility for their mistakes prove my point. ALSO- TO THE READERS- You can look at all of the 1 star reviews and see that this restaurant complains and tries blaming the customers for the restaurants continuous mistakes It's a pattern as you can see. Never taking responsibility. It's Pathetic. Good luck to people who order from here, don't say i didn't tell you. Waste of money. To the owner, again,...
Read moreJust off the beaten track of Washington Ave is Christian Ave and one of the best all around Vietnamese restaurants on the East Coast. I haven't been to all of them, but I'd say close to 100-150 of them.
Our favorites here are their bun mam, banh canh gio heo and bo ne. Bun mam has juicy pork, shrimp and fish with an excellent fishy broth. If you like the bum mam at Nha Trang in the Eden Center (Falls Church, VA), you'll love Pho Skyline's. The banh canh broth is super rich with big cuts of pork hock. The bo ne is done perfectly - my wife's favorite. The cafe muoi (salted coffee) is spectacular. Vietnamese coffee (uses mostly robusta type coffee) can be very bitter but the condensed milk and salt balance it really well.
The staff is attentive and restaurant is clean. Tables are perfect for a date or multiple families. Street parking and a parking lot is close by. Online ordering system is really well done. We love everything so far and no, I'm not sponsored. I just really enjoy this place. :) I hope you do too.
Edit: And we just got pho for the first time. FYI - Pho is not my favorite dish (I know, shame on me) but the pho filet mignon was great. Broth was flavorful and not too salty. Cuts of meat were juicy. We got it to go and I was impressed with how well they package everything, even being careful to put the raw meat separate (you cook that in the broth when...
Read moreI was craving a banh mi while visiting the Italian Market neighborhood. The lady at the visitor's bureau said to try Pho Skyline if I didn't want to walk to a Vietnamese restaurant I had in mind. Wonderful decision to go to Pho Skyline. I was greeted warmly and given a table near the window. I ordered the vegetarian banh mi and it was one of the best banh mi sandwiches I ever ate. The baguette was so moist and warm and the tofu filling inside was so tasty. I ordered another banh mi because it was so delicious. The following day I walked three miles to get their jello coconut and coffee dessert. What a treat. It was marvelous and the taste of coffee is still in my mouth as I had back to NYC on the bus. Pho Skyline is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant with a friendly hard working staff, pleasant atmosphere, and fantastic food. Definitely the best Vietnamese restaurant in...
