Pop's Homemade Italian Ice — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Went for a chocolate water ice. Ended up leaving with chocolate ice cream. I asked for 2 quarts of chocolate water ice then was thrown off by soft or hard. I was a little befuddled and never clarified on what they ment by soft or hard. Was told one come from the machine and the other one they scoop... Still not questioning it I went "sure do both". Welp, what I ended with is a soft serve cone and a quart of ice cream. At this point all I can do is kick rocks and shake my fist angerly in the air and stare at this quart of ice cream in my freezer that I'm too bitter to eat at the moment. All I wanted was CHOCOLATE WATER ICE!!!! It's "Pop's Italian ice and ice cream" but it's known for water ice in the neighborhood. If this ice cream is deliciously epic, I'll change my review. Until then I'm going sulk over this terrible...

Pop's is a summer time ritual! My grandfather started taking me and my siblings here for water ice and pretzel rods back in the 1960s. Some older Italians called it lemonade or "lim,-o-nada", as lemon was one of the original three flavors.

Now, they have more than a dozen flavors, all great. When in season, the Orchard Peach is a must-have. With bits of real peaches, it might just become your favorite.

my favorite place to visit with my friends. the servers are cute and sweet as they handle my orders. everything was homemade as promised because my mint chocochips icecream didn't tasted like anything factory-related. my bff ordered a large mango and vanilla geltao...it wasn't large as promised but HUGE lols so we had to shared that one. not only the gelato was HUGE, my other bff ordered just a small plain vanilla cone due to her diet but sadly the distressed woman received a small cone with totally piled up high vanilla, totally unexpected for her.
