Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Philadelphia

OMG! I hope I did not contract COVID-19. I just left the restaurant. This was the first I have been back since we moved to the yellow phase. When red no one was allowed in/curb only. I guess w/yellow status this changed. There is a hand written sign stating 7 people only allowed in at time. They also do have 6ft social distancing marks on the floor...but there was definitely more than 7 customers in, there is no sign about wearing a mask (not that there should be need, we should all know), no distancing of the employees working behind the counter and I can't figure out what the new plexi-glass is suppose to be blocking based on where installed at the counter. They should not call you over to take your order, until the previous customer order is completed and stepped away. The called me over, the previous customer was still waiting and also trying to get drinks from the beverage machine. I did everything I could for him to not bump into me since he was not aware of the social distancing practice...what they should have had him do was step away to wait. There was also a customer near the counter who had her mask off under her chin...none of the employees said anything. I do not know why the side door was not being used as an exit only directional as opposed to being blocked.

I can't imagine how this will be once green status. There are several COVID-19 improvements needed.

Popeyes on Cheltenham Avenue has to do better. They have great hot food but the service is too slow. They always have a line and I understand that they are understaffed and overworked as most places. I treated my daughter and it was the closest location. I expected to wait and remained patient. Surprisingly yet disappointing the walk in order line wait time was faster than the mobile app order time. I walked in and stood in line and then decided to place mobile order through app figuring it would be a quicker process even though they had a line as well. I stayed in walk in line only to be told at counter to switch to mobile line which the wait started all over from beginning. Every customer that was in line behind me until I switched over had left the store before I received my online order (2 sandwiches and 1 fry).

Popeye needs to improve their wait times and team work. Few people doing a lot goes a long way if done together. Suggest to prepare mobile orders based on pick up time or restaurant receipt time. Possibly get some warmer bags for those that are late picking up their orders if their isn't enough space in kitchen or warmer tray. Overall food was good but 1 order item was wrong. I received a spicy sandwich instead of original, an honest mistake as the label had original and spicy checked off with the word Fish on the bag. Confusion! Just went in here for a pickup order. I placed it for asap and gave them about 30 mins before i actually got there because they always take long to get pickup orders ready. I get there and there's a line near the pickup area, so I ask people if they are waiting for pickup and they said no. I go up to the window to see if my order is ready and the workers yells at me to get in line. Im confused because others are not waiting to be seen. If i don't go up to check if my order is ready, how would you know? I'm not waiting in line behind others waiting for their order if mine is ready and it's a PICKUP order. So to not cause argument, i go and wait. Only 10 minutes later to be called up by another worker and told my order been ready... So you mean to tell me I got yelled at to stand in a line when my order is a pickup and my order was ready the whole time?? Ok...

So I glance in my bag to see if everything is there but I didn't open any packaging until i get home only to realize the fries i redeemed for points is missing and no sauce. No i redeemed points for nothing, wasted time waiting in a line for no reason, and got yelled at?
