Let me start by saying that I used to love Popeyes chicken, but after this experience, I don’t think I’ll ever bother again. From the moment I walked in, I knew something was off. There were plenty of employees in the back, yet not a single soul was at the register to take orders. I stood there waiting, growing more impatient by the second, until finally—about 10 minutes later—someone decided to show up and take orders.
When I placed my order, I specifically asked for a large combo and even double-checked everything while ordering. Imagine my frustration when I looked at the receipt and saw I’d been charged for a regular combo instead. Fine, mistakes happen, right? I was then told I’d have to wait three minutes for the rest of my order to be made. Three minutes? No big deal.
Except it wasn’t three minutes. It was 25 agonizing minutes because there was already a line of people that been waiting also.
Finally, when I got my food, something told me to check it. I just couldn’t trust that they’d get it right. And guess what? My sandwich was wrong. I had to send it back and wait even longer for them to fix it. At this point, I was already frustrated beyond words, but then came the part that truly pushed me over the edge.
I had ordered a large #2 combo and a family meal, and when I went to put the sandwich in the bag, I realized there wasn’t a single napkin. Not one. No problem, I thought—I’ll grab my own. Except, surprise, they didn’t have any available. So, I went to the counter to ask for napkins, and the guy had the audacity to hand me one single napkin. One! Like that would even begin to be enough.
I took the napkins, went to my car, and prepared to finally eat—only to discover the food was icy cold. Not lukewarm. Not slightly cooled. Cold. It was as if they had left it outside in freezing weather. At that moment, any lingering hope for satisfaction disappeared. The food was disgusting, the service was abysmal, and my patience was long gone.
I didn’t even have the energy to take it back because, honestly, what would’ve been the point? I’d already wasted so much time, and judging by their lack of care, I knew it would’ve just made things worse.
The moral of this story? If you’re hungry and craving hot food with decent service, save yourself the trouble and don’t go there. It’s not worth your time, your money, or...
Read moreThis Popeyes really has to be the worst. Came in tonight 2/28/24 after a long day, I was tired and just wanted to get dinner and go home. My receipt shows my order was placed at 5:43pm. I did not get my food until 6:10pm, but all the people that came in after me was getting their food. Finally at 6:05pm I went to the counter to find out what was going on with my order…they didn’t even have my receipt at the damn prep area where they bag up the orders….he had to make a duplicate receipt and I still waited 5 more minutes for my food. He had an attitude when he gave it to me…like really I should be the one with the attitude. My food was just thrown in the bag and my wings did not have the sauce tossed on them.. but as I stood there for 30 minutes I watched them toss and shake everyone else’s wings. This restaurant is a mess, you really need to get it together. My time is valuable and so is my money. The wait and the way I was treated was horrible. And let me note there was one women who came in after me that got tired of waiting and got her money back. Had I not been so tired I would have done the same. I definitely will not be patronizing this...
Read moreI had a very odd experience when I got there. The manager was yelling at a food delivery person and accusing him of something…which was hard to follow but easy to hear (he was yelling loudly). When it came to my order, the young person who took my order put in the order. I think she was suppose to check on inventory or something but instead of handling the situation, the manager berated her in front of all the customers. I had no idea what was going on but it seemed like he was trying to “train her” by humiliating her in front of everyone. Then he started intensely questioning me - it almost felt like he wanted me to solve his supply chain problem. Saying something “you’re looking at me like I’m crazy…” (which was an accurate statement because…the shoe definitely fit). The store was scheduled to close in 2 hours, so i knew it wasn’t a schedule issue. They said it would take 12 minutes but the order wasn’t ready for 25-30 mins. Our order wasn’t very complicated but I think the staff was a bit disoriented after all the screaming from the manager. It was an all around...
