Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Today I visited this location and placed my order via the drive they, my prefer number is 22. The drive thru attendant was very nice and I agreed to wait the additional 5 min for my seafood order to be made fresh. A young lady came to my car with my order she was very pleasant and wished AME a nice day. I looked over my order and realized I was missing one of my shrimp and fish boxes, so I gathered all the food and went inside. I got the attention of the young lady that brought my order out and told her what was wrong and she began to fix the problem. The manager (orangish button down) came from out of nowhere and began talking very aggressively to the young lady who was fixing my order (she had my entire order behind the counter) telling her to shut her mouth when she was trying to explain what was wrong with my order. Then he proceeded to open all my boxes and rummage thrum Food no gloves nothing! I called to him and requested that he not touch my food with his bare hands he told me that he was the manager and he’s doing his job and again I said “DO NOT touch my food with your bare hands! He continued to go back and forth with me and proceeded to repack my food and give it to me STILL missing my 2nd shrimp and fish basket. I then summoned the original young lady to come and actually fix my order and requested that he not touch it at all. I am the manager of a fast casual restaurant in university city Philadelphia and not only would I never talk down to my team members i also would NEVER argue with a guest who is the main reason why I have my job. His behavior was absolutely unacceptable and the Popeyes brand should be way more mindful of who you have leading your stores. I can’t speak for any other guest that witnessed his behavior but many of them said that he always behaves that way and harasses his team. You do not create a good working culture/environment treating your people like trash! His position seriously needs re-evaluation. And I certainly offered that young lady the opportunity to interview with my company because nobody deserves to be subject to that kind of harsh undeveloping work environment. I love popeyes with a burning passion and have been tolerating the poor service at this location just for the sake of the chicken. This last trip will be the end of me going to this popeyes. First off, i'm not the type to complain and this is the first review I have EVER written. But thought i needed to say something about this place. The workers, and i mean literally all the workers that i saw through the window, didn't wear gloves. None of then had gloves on. i was watching them scratch their arms, rub their noses, etc. and then go and pick chicken. The workers in general are rude and seem like they hate their jobs (which they probably do). The cashier charged me wrong by over $4 and when i asked about it, she said it was "tax" when the chicken i got was $5.... I tried to get a cup of water, but they charge for that too according to the cashier. After i waited for 15 minutes for 3 pc chicken, I wanted to sit down and eat, but ALL the tables were dirty and trashed. How hard is it to wipe down the tables with a rag. Ok so first let me start with the head Salman the manager, When asked about the oil that his store use to fry the food, he stated he didn't know. Then I asked him simply is it cooked in lard ( pig fat) he stated again, he's not sure. So I said well I'll wait while you check to see. He refused. This restaurant is located in a black Muslim community, not to mention the owners are foreign Muslim. Let me go on, the dinning room is always dirty and the bathroom ( woman) is never fresh, this establishment opens at 10:00 am at 10 30 it's horrible. Dear fellow consumers in this community please beware of the imposters in your neighborhood just because they wrap up like Muslim don't mean that Islam is in their hearts. This is a clear example of blind following, we don't know them or what they are upon, use your brains when was the last time you saw Salman or any of them eat the food that they sell to you and your family.
