The Legends of Seafood and Soul Food — Restaurant in Philadelphia

The reviews are misleading. I patronized this place because of the high reviews. I ordered 6 fried wings, greens, & Mac and cheese. I paid $18 for it. When I seen the portions, I felt it was over priced. The wings were very small but over cooked. They were hot and fresh, but they were just over cooked to where it was slightly tough. After that, because I paid so much money for them, I was seconds away from asking for my money back, but I didn’t. NONE of the food was seasoned. The greens tasted like “perhaps” someone just put them in vinegar and served them, and the Mac& cheese looked really good , but I took one bite of it and I couldn’t finish it. It was bland with a weird taste taste that stood out. It was like “maybe” they used the same spoon as something else when they prepared it? IDK?! But honestly, I’m not a big critic with food. But the food here was HORRIBLE. I want disappointed. I won’t be back. I don’t mind paying for good food. Just make sure the price matches the quality...

Never have I been in a restaurant where the person cooking your food is so concerned with food contamination. This was so impressive, she change her gloves after each item she touch. So often I go into restaurants and the staff to me our under the impression that the gloves are to keep there hands clean so handling money and food is alright. I don’t remember her name, but next time I’m in Philadelphia pa the Legends of Seafood is the spot. Let’s not forget the other two ladies so professional. This place was horrible!!!!!!!! It’s a soul food restaurant without the soul. Food had little to no seasoning… 10/22/2024 @ 4;30 pm it was a Tuesday… don’t ever waste your money. Food was just tasteless… bland as hell and they cooked the chicken fresh. Fried chicken supposed to be crunchy not chewy skin… the worst soul food I ever had…. I mean that the owner should be shot for disrespecting the community like this. It is Philly they’re not known for soul food stick to cheesesteaks and pizza hoagies …...
