There are places to eat, there are places to indulge, there are places to dive into atmosphere, there are places to learn a new culture, there are places to try new mind blowing gastronomical combinations, there are places to call your friends to party, and there is Gamarjoba - a place where all the wonderful things the humanity has created, is combined into soft, delicate, decadent, heart-warming experience. In modern world, we are truly cut out from our roots, from the foundation of our being, from our ancestry, from our souls.. These things that once were crucial and once had formed our civilization, take a back seat to busyness of today's society. Do you have time to call your grandma and tell her you miss her wrinkled age defied cheeks? Do you have time to lift your face and look into the blues of the sky and thank God for the gift of life? Yet somehow, the programming in our bones knows when we touch something real, authentic, kind ... the desire to cling to our core, pushes us to search for elements around us, that are deep, guttural, full of memories, strong emotions, and mouth watering experiences.. We were truly never fooled by promises of prosperity, we were never truly fooled by Teslas, iPhones and Gucci.. Deep in our heart, down in our guts, up in our souls, what we have always valued is the ability to break a piece of bread with the most precious people in our lives. To look into each other faces and toast for love and life, forgetting wars, the world that is crumbling around us. The wisdom of simple truths is not lost in ancient hearts of Georgian people - somehow, against all odds, they nurtured God's word in their hearts and have established Gamarjoba. Time after time, i unite with the loved ones at this place, share food, love, and delicious Georgian wine. People from all walks of life, lost in the aftermaths of horrific political turmoils and wars, have found a warm place that unites our cultures in a foreign land of promise. For that, thank you, Gamarjoba. Forever a place I bring my kids who are detached from Caucasian culture, to experience glimpses of my roots. Thank you to all of the employees for their hard work and incredible experiences. Forever your fan, Firuza - the overly cheerful and sometimes annoying Armenian friend. One day I will open a nice Armenian restaurant right next door and we will continue our centuries long light hearted neighborly competition of whose...
Read moreI’ve never had such AWFUL service. The food is decent ok I would say, but never have I had such rude and awful service! The wait staff was totally non-existent and had such an attitude as if we were a bother. Literally walking around just serve food with earbuds in the ear the entire time no less. The waitress literally made a face every time we asked for something. I really believe as others have mentioned that if you’re not Georgian they don’t want you there. Never felt so unwelcome in my life at any establishment. We literally sat for an hour before anyone came over to take our order and when we asked for water and a bottle opener, after no joke an HOUR of just sitting there, the waitress said “and what about food” with the nastiest face and attitude we’ve ever seen. My friend even commented on how “happy” she looked. We had to ask for water 4 times before she brought it! We got food before she brought water and then brought 1 bottle of water instead of a pitcher. We had to ask again for a pitcher. Thank goodness we placed our entire order at once because if we hadn’t we wouldn’t have been able to order anything else as we never saw the waitress again after we received our food. I’ve never left a place feeling like I wouldn’t tip but this was definitely that one and only time I’ve ever felt that way and unfortunately they applied a 15% service fee for 4 people. Never been charged a “service” fee for 4 people anywhere. I don’t know maybe that’s why the service is so bad because they automatically charge a 15% service fee. 🤷🏻♀️ Needless to say I will never be back. There are so many great Georgian restaurants that would gladly except our business and plenty of other restaurants with great food and phenomenal service that I will never set foot in this establishment again. Such a shame because they really do have a nice little spot and a really nice patio but the experience here was just...

There are quite a few new things. First of all, there is a new structural addition to the restaurant; to the right of the main entrance, past the food pick-up door, there is a larger "Beer Garden". Apparently, the old Gamarjoba dining room is now open for dinner only. There is a fully stocked bar and numerous TVs. The food is still great. The portion sizes got bigger, but so did the prices. We would like to highly recommend a Georgian beer "Green Cape" ("Zelyoniy Mys'"), one of the best IPAs out there. Don't forget about 15% discount for your lunch. UPDATE: Before, we only had experience with take-outs by Gamarjoba. Today, being in the area, we have stopped by for lunch. Good and friendly service, excellent food, extensive menu. Our kharcho soup was excellent with sizeable chunks of thoroughly cooked and tender meat. Both our kebabs, the pork ribs kebab, and chicken kebab were 5 stars!
Gamarjoba offers right now 15% off during lunch hours. Please bear in mind that the lunch portions are in no way different from dinner portions; you get the same generous size portion but for reduced price. The restaurant also adds 15% gratuity to your check. Very good and positive experience.
Due to the current pandemics, we opted for a take-out.
Very delicious and well prepared authentic Georgian food, with the menu featuring an extensive line-up of dishes for every like and taste.
The entrances and the pick-up office are all located on the side street, Warwick St. There are ample designated parking spots right across from the restaurant.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Very forgiving prices. The ease of online ordering is another plus.
Highly...
