Listen. I never write reviews and was hesitant to write this one. Ask me a week ago, and I would have sung my praises for Rising Sun Pizza. However, the last two orders I placed were nightmares in themselves.
We typically order two small pizzas and mozzarella sticks. When our order arrived, we were missing a pizza and an order of mozzarella sticks. Half our order. No problem. We call and inform them, they let us know they will be sending another pizza right out to us. We wait probably 30-40 minutes for the remainder of our order. When it arrives, we get the pizza, but only half the mozzarella sticks (without sauce). We call the restaurant again to let them know (we don’t want them to send another order, but just wanted to let them know what was going on). They really couldn’t care less. Okay, no problem. The pizza was still delicious, and we were a little irritated, but we still enjoyed it.
This evening, we placed the same order (not like we make it hard for them). When it arrived, we got the wrong pizza, but our mozzarella sticks were there. We call the restaurant again to let them know. They had no answer for us. We decided to enjoy the mozzarella sticks while we waited to hear what was going on. Well dear reader, they placed ketchup in the box instead of sauce. I am now onto believing that someone is intentionally sabotaging the restaurant. We are now sitting here, pizza-less with the scent of vinegary ketchup in the air, with no idea on the status of the remainder of our order.
So reader beware: the pizza is fantastic, some of the best I’ve ever had. I just don’t know when my order will be here to let you know what it tastes like tonight.
Edit: over 1.5 hours after our order was placed, we received our pizza. It was good, but was it worth the hassle?...
Read moreMy family placed an order on Friday night May 8th. The order consisted of a chicken wrap. My daughter who took a single bite out of it found that there was cheese inside the wrap that does not come with the order. She was unable to remove the cheese as it was sticking to the wrap itself.
Upon calling to get the problem resolved Rising Sun Pizza did not offer to remake this sandwich and bring it back out to the house nor offer a full refund of the price of the chicken wrap. According to the phone conversation it was stated that since my daughter had begun to eat the product they would not issue a full refund and offered $1 for a refund off of Sandwich the date mistakenly put together.
We are longtime customers of Rising Sun pizza and I find their pizzas my most favorite of the entire Northeast region that we live in. I also enjoy their steaks and we enjoy a lot of their products and have for many years. Even though there's new ownership the food's quality os now coming to serious question and especially their customer service has been deplorable with this last transaction
It is important to say this but we will start looking for other establishments to order from as we cannot trust the customer service that we received from Rising Sun Pizza. Their decision not to remake or refund the cost of that chicken wrap at put serious questions to whether I will order from Rising Sun...
Read moreSo unhappy with their customer service. I ordered 2 cheesesteaks and an order of onion rings and it took them more then a hour to deliver. I called about 45 mins after I placed the order to check the status of my food and I was told that it'll be there shortly. I live about 3 blocks away. I called again 20 mins later and was put on hold. My call forgotten. I called back using another phone just to get an answer. Finally, I got someone on the line. I immediately asked for a manager. When the manager answered I explained what I ordered and how long it's been and all she told me was that there was an issue with the driver. I asked her when I called 20 mins before why was I told that "my order was on it's way, it'll be here shortly". That a courtesy call should have been made to me stating there was an issue. I didn't get any apology only a "this never happens any other time". I told her that I will never order from there again and she said "ok, I'm sorry you feel that way".. horrible experience! I'm...
