I had placed an order for delivery over the phone at exactly 12:27. I had ordered a Takka salad and a lamb gyro for a co-worker. This was a day that it started to snow mind you. The young lady stated that it would take the typical 30-45min for delivery that of which I understood and had no issue with. However, as the inclement weather started to worsen and a total hour had passed. I stepped out of the office to place a call to Takka regarding the status of the driver. The same young lady answered and affirmed that he was on his way and to give a call back if he hadn't arrived within 10.

When I called back all I wanted was an ETA (nothing more). So I asked her to call the driver and see EXACTLY he was so that my co-worker and I would have an idea as to when he'd arrive. She told me that she'd let her manager know and then I asked "well who's calling whom back"? "Will you guys give me a call back at least...................or am I responsible for calling you back on the update regarding my order?" She mentioned not knowing or maybe I should call etc.
So I simply asked to speak with the manager HOPING for some clarity on the matter. As soon as he gets on the phone and I repeat the same question to him regarding "who's calling whom". He tone changes and he goes off on me! He states that ALL.............AND I DO MEAN ALL of the drivers have come back because of the weather!! I'm like "well was someone going to at least give me a call or notify me as A CUSTOMER that our order wasn't going to be coming? We would of made other arrangements. And we wouldn't of been all that upset (if done in a timely manner) due to the fact that it was completely understandable. But instead, we were given a LIE and told that he had left already!
He then HANGS UP THE PHONE ON ME screaming that he doesn't need my business!
But in closing.......................here's the real real kicker. Two minutes after getting off the phone with me the driver pulls up! I BRIEFLY explained to him the situation with his manager and that I was NOT upset with him and he was floored! But guess WHY he was mad. Because he told me that "they had ONLY GIVEN HIM THE ORDER 10MIN PRIOR TO HIM ARRIVING!!!!!!!!!!"
So I had waited by this time an hr and a half being told that it was on it's way eons ago. When all along he had just been given the order. Oh yeah, a key factor is that Takka is only 8min away from where I work!!

Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would because this place doesn’t even deserve 1 star based off customer service alone. This business has an serious issue on taking accountability. The girl that answers the phone is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional.
They had the nerve to charge a $6.50 delivery fee due the snow, like the roads aren’t clear, and like it didn’t stop snowing days ago. My food took 2 hrs to come and arrived cold and they shorted me on the wings. I live down the street and Germantown Ave is clear. They blamed it on ‘the blizzard’, and it wasn’t even snowing anymore. Then they tried to blame it on the restaurant being busy with no compensation.
On top of dealing with the smart mouth girl on the phone, she put another girl on the phone to sound intelligent. Yet, she just sound condescending and rude. Telling me that I can turn away my order after waiting a whole two hrs.
I would highly recommend the business owner to weed out the sour bitter apples, properly train their employees, and higher more professional personnel. Then again, your team and, the way you allow them to treat your customers is a reflection of you. Nothing was done to compensate me for waiting 2 hrs for cold food, less wings than I paid for, and me having to turn away the food in disgust.

Read moreI ordered a lamb gyro platter on Grubhub. It was 15 minutes past delivery estimate time (past the 60-70 minutes estimate). I called to check on my delivery like Grubhub says, the cashier girl who answered the phone was very rude and curt. I said I was checking on the status of my delivery, and without even asking to which I’m referring to, she said “It’s out for delivery, OK?” And hung up. It is 9 PM EST 2/22/21. If you don’t want to do your job, don’t do it. If you’re going to do a job, at least do it properly or don’t ever go into customer service and food industry. Last time I’ll ever give this place my money. My order # was 263414416576620.
Edit: I would have gladly waited the additional hour (ordered at 7:30, got food at 9:20) if the cashier bothered to communicate. How would you know what order I’m talking about, if you didn’t even ask, and instead cut me off and hung up? I wanted to know if the driver was fine, and if my order was being delivered along with any other orders - which I guessed was a yes. I am glad the driver was safe, I knew the roads were icy. The gyro was good. The cashier should not be answering...
