The food is fine to subpar. Staff is very good to me, because I’m a decent human being who talks with them and listens. Main complaint is that the People in Charge obviously haven’t thought things through. They clearly had no plan for how to operate in the summer months, they have their staff cook in ways that the building isn’t at all equipped to handle, such as on-demand pasta on a skillet (there have consequently been multiple fires). They created a large sitting space in the front building with one little place to get coffee or smoothies and didn’t account for the fact that these nicest places to sit are also furthest from the food areas that call out finished orders. They clearly don’t check in on the building itself for quality control, and as a result the men’s bathroom has a stall with no door and the atrium smells like body odor. In their rush to make the establishment feel like a contemporary college hangout/dinner hall alternative, the management neglected to ensure quality food (which can still be inexpensive) or take into account practical needs of the students and staff. The result is that staff is either overwhelmed or has nothing to do with nowhere to sit except student spaces, students are stuck in long lines or left without prompt service, staff makes food they know is bad but have no way to improve, and students get stuck eating substandard meals at a premium cost. The people making profit are taking advantage of everyone involved in this place, and ought to be held...
Read moreGiving this place a 1 is the most lenient review I could give, but only because there is no option to go lower. The food here is literally gutter trash. The cheese steaks are burnt, the mozzarella sticks are rock hard and barely even have any cheese in them, and you're lucky if you don't have to cut your pizza yourself, let alone if you actually get more than a pinch of the toppings you ordered on it. To top it off, the employees here are extremely rude and have no respect for the customers. They begin closing up shop about an hour before they even close. They only leave one garbage can open and put actual traffic cones in front of the others so that you can't get to them. The only decent place in here closes a full 2 hours before the rest of it does, so good luck coming here after a late night class and expecting to get a decent meal. The employees will do anything to not have to do their job, including making the customers reconsider their order because they already have something else that was pre made hours ago and has been sitting under a heat lamp for the whole day. To summarize, on the off chance that my children end up coming here I will not be getting them a dining plan in fear of being arrested for...
Read moreIn addition to many peoples complaints this place is just plain dirty, the men's bathroom is in disrepair, with a door missing to the handicap stall. For the most part it feels pretty understaffed. Also the times advertised for opening and closing are often not adheared to and employees don't open for sometimes 2 hours after they are supposed to. And on another note in the past 6 months I believe there has been 3 fires reaulting in people having to evacuate. I believe this place would easily go out of business if people were actually allowed to vote with their wallet, but since Drexel forces a meal plan of an exorbanent price, that only really has 2 options one being far from the dorms and the other being this sad excuse for food, it is impossible for...
