MEET'N PLACE TAVERN — Restaurant in Philomath

Neat little bar for the small town Philomath is. Fair prices, cozy atmosphere. My issue is that I've been here three times, and the third time I was here, the older gal declined to serve me because my Oregon State Issued License is the older format with the address change sticker (the sticker was smudged), so she assumed it was a fake.

The sticker got wet and smudged over the years I've had it, so my address isn't very visible, but I pointed out that my name and birth date is still shown on the upper left portion under the lamination. The age verification info was clearly displayed (I'm a 90s kiddo). I even showed her how every other card in my wallet has my name as printed on the ID, but she refused to take the card because the address was smeared.

Now, I acknowledge that I should probably get a new card, but I've worked retail and food before. Last I checked, a valid state issued ID with a visible birth date is all I need to provide to verify age. It's a little ridiculous that the card was declined given that it's very clearly water marked with the state seal and has the holofoil laminations.

Me and the buddy I came in with had to leave the bar, and find another place to grab a drink.

FYI: This was back around November of 2022.

Went to Dirt Road and had no issues...

I stopped in to gamble inwhich i do on occassion....was there 3 hours with no one to ask if im doing okay or nothing....then i cashed out the lady came in from smoking as she went by me she grabbed my tickets out of my hand startling me then verified one handed the other one back to me saying we cant cash this..you have to come back tomorrow.....rude comment shes tired didnt want to get into the machines then the next day i turned in my ticket got some 20s but mostly 5 10s and 1 dollar bills over 1000.00 that bartender was awesome but i wont be coming by anytime in the near future...it used to be a cool...

So I went in and the staff was rude. He may have been upset with being the only one there and having a small kitchen but I didn't understand why he had to be rude about it, I'm only inferring though. I don't know if I'll go here again, I'm leaning no. I didn't end up...
