This golf course has become an absolute eyesore to the neighborhood. The landscaping/ course crew seems to do do little to nothing for upkeep. Everyday, irrigation floods Kiowa all the way down to 48th street continuing on all the way to the Golf Club buildings. There is a perpetual pond on 48th St between the tennis courts and Hillside from all the daily runoff. Not only is there thousands of gallons of water being wasted, the runoff is a mud river filling the gutters and covering the sidewalks with mud. This has been going on for over at least a year or even two. Called a couple times to maintenance to let them know. Deaf ears. Clean up crew of fallen or cut debris. Nonexistent. What falls from the palms lays there for weeks. The cattails taking over the ponds were cut down at least two months ago. Still piled where they left them. The palms haven't been trimmed this year, and don't recall if they were last year, but there is a lot of dead fronds. Could be a liability if they fall and land onto an unsuspecting golfer.

Our tee time was at 224 pm and we were pushed to the right to 232 pm on 21 Feb 2025, I was not informed of the change. The group ahead of us was 6 persons and caused delays of 30 minutes for nine holes. Ahead of them was a very large group of 15 with 8 golf carts and 15 people. I called the pro shop and they were going to sort it out. It was never sorted out. I went into the pro shop after 9 holes and asked for compensation as time is money. No compensation was given so we packed it in after 9 holes and will never play again at Ahwatukee Golf Club. Zoom in and see all !

My husband and I have been coming to this golf course for quite a few months this year and we are always so pleased with the hospitality from everyone. Lily has recognized us and has been so kind and patient since we are relatively newer golfers. We appreciate the upgrades that the owners have been making and a gentleman named Rob even engages my husband in conversation to get his feedback on the adjustments they have been making. Everyone has been so attentive in making the experience so pleasant every time we come around. Thank you Tukee Club!!

One of the worst golf courses I have ever played in AZ. Their transition from cart path to fairway is like terrain you would see in unkept desert trails. The bumps on almost every hole were making our drinks spill every time. The not having a cart path is fine but the maintenance and upkeep is terrible. The greens are probably a 2 or 3 out of 10 scale. Ball marks everywhere and dead spots pretty much on every green. There were a couple that looked pretty good but that’s being generous. Speed of play is usually an issue on every course this time of year. However, we had a foursome ahead of us that had at least a hole and a half clear ahead of them. They were waiting for the group ahead of them to be gone from the green before they would even tee off, no matter what par the hole was. When the Marshall came around, he said, “looks like they are slowing you up!” We sad “yep” and he said, “well, keep pushing them”. Yeah Mr. Marshall, that’s your job! Needless to say what could have been a 4.25 hour round became a 5+ hour round. Carts are old and slow. Lastly, they are not honest in my opinion. I left me range finder on the cart and realized right before I was leaving the parking lot and went back to the cart return area and of course no one had seen a range finder. This is my fault for leaving it there, but still very shady that it’s gone in less than 15 mins. I called later to see if anyone had turned it in and we all know the answer. No one turned one in. Again, my bad for leaving it on cart, but shows what kind of hell they have. The two different people I talked to when I called the course to see if anyone had turned it in were not pleasant to speak with. Rude and annoyed that I was calling. I will never go back to this course. I recommend paying more to play...

Where to begin? First, our tee time was scheduled for 10:40 and we called around 8:30 to ask about the frost delay and were told our tee time would be 12:37? Having played golf in the valley for 20 years, I have never heard of a 2 hour delay but ok. Arrive at the course at noon to find virtually parking, but we were able to squeeze into a spot by the tennis courts. At the bag drop, the starter said our tee time would be 12:15, so we headed to the pro shop to check in. Three employees working behind the desk, two of which tried to pass us off for check in. Finally an older gentleman helped us and was very confused about our tee time. We told him we called in the morning and were told 12:37 so we arrived at noon. Instead of figuring it out, we as the customers turned into the bad people and this guy went on a 2 minute tirade about how we should have still showed up at 10:40. Then he tried to get us to pay again even though we prepaid on Golfnow. I logged in and showed him proof of payment on my phone and magically he goes, "Oh I see it here now," pointing to his computer. Then it took and additional 2 minutes of clicking around on the computer to print us a receipt, no mention of when we would be teeing off. Now I'm sitting here in the cart, and got paired with a twosome whose original tee time was 11:30. Never playing at this...

I have been golfing this course for the past 9 years. Previous owners really let the place go. We were always promised things from previous managers, but little happened to the course or the facilities. I've waited more than a year-and-a-half to leave this review as I was waiting to see what new ownership did.

The course is in such better shape, and getting better each passing month. There is genuine investment happening and there is now grass in places I have never seen it. Throw in the new simulator area and this has now become an entertainment venue.

The location has always been great. If you've only driven around the streets that wind through the course, you are missing the improvements that have been made to the greens, fairways and tee-boxes.

Ahwatukee Golf Club is also now a more fun place to hang-out. The pro-shop staff--including Dylan and Coby, along with the bartenders (like Avery) and beverage cart servers--all seem to genuinely like being there and it comes across to the customers.

There is still work to do to improve this club, but I rated the course 5-stars due to the effort put forward I witness and the plans to do even more.

If you have not played the course in a couple years, you owe it to yourself to give it another try. I believe you will find it a...
