Phoenix Fire Department Station 38 — Local services in Phoenix

I appreciate that they are quick in response and arrival, and I also appreciate their services. However, they should be well-trained in the procedures for disabling a broken fire alarm sound. Last night, around 11 pm, they came to Array South Mountain apartments in Ahwatukee, simply to apologize and left us helpless for 10 minutes while the whole building was screaming loudly. Nobody, including small children, was able to sleep. We were helpless with no response from maintenance. The fire alarm box was open and only needed a screw to fix. Only one of our neighbors opened the box and fixed it with a screw at 1 am on the housing maintenance guy's instruction during a quick phone call. Come on, is it really so hard for you 12 guys to open the fire alarm box and fix a small thing? And just push back from the responsibility that it's housing maintenance's...

We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Phoenix Fire Department Station 38 in Ahwatukee for their heroic efforts in saving our dog during a house fire in December. Their quick response, bravery, and compassion turned what could have been a devastating loss into a moment of hope and relief.

Not only did they risk their lives to contain the fire, but they also took the time to ensure our dog was rescued and given oxygen afterward. They made a valiant effort to save our sweet kitty, but she succumbed to smoke inhalation. It’s clear they go above and beyond their call of duty, showing kindness and professionalism every step of the way.

My mom and I are both disabled, but we are trying to live independently for as long as possible. The fire fighters that are dispatched to our apartment in Rockledge Fairways, are always friendly, prompt, kind, and knowledgeable. Whenever my mom or I fall down and can't get up on our own, they come to give us a lift assist . We both appreciate all of them very.much!
