I will start this review off by first talking about breakfast. Why breakfast for a lobster roll place? Because the line here was always so long that it was easier for me to come in the morning to try their food, and if they’re selling it, it still needs to be reviewed!
I ended up trying the Bacon, Sausage, and the fried lobster rolls. I will start by saying that the eggs seem like powdered eggs, not fresh. This was pretty disappointing to me because I don’t know why you would serve fake eggs when you’re trying to promote a quality product. Granted, it wasn’t terrible, but it was disappointing. The breakfast potatoes are heavily seasoned and were absolutely wonderful. The bacon roll comes with 2 slices of extremely thin bacon to where it almost felt insulting, while the sausage roll has one link of breakfast sausage cut in half to cover the whole roll. Regarding the bacon, I rather have them charge more for a better cut, or just simply more bacon.
The breakfast lobster roll also came with maple syrup, which I tried since it came with it. I didn’t like this at all and it made the food taste cheap. In fact, the fried lobster in general just did not taste THAT good...
When I finally was able to get a lobster roll for lunch, I ended up getting the number 2, “Warm Lobster Roll with Seasoned Lemon Butter.” The butter comes in a packet as well as the Angie’s sauce. The French fries are probably some of the best fast food fries I’ve ever had, and act as a great compliment to the lobster rolls. I have had the lobster rolls a couple times and will say that the bread can get kind of soggy if it sits too long -just watch out for that.
As mentioned in other reviews, the lobster rolls are about the size of a hotdog, and I can eat it in about 4 to 5 bites. It also comes with a drink, either lemonade or iced tea. I had the lemonade and it was pretty tasty and not too sweet. Regardless of the 4 stars, I will be back for the #2 with the lemon butter and amazing Angie’s sauce. I would just stay away from the mediocre breakfast with what seemed to be powdered eggs.
Final pet peeve about Angie’s Lobster: There is information all over their property and website about how they save money to bring a better product. This is great and I applaud them for doing such as it also reduces waste for the environment. However, they also give one napkin which has been covered in grease 100% of the time that I have received an order. I would just rather have them not give me any napkins at all. These lobster rolls can be pretty messy and one napkin isn’t nearly enough once you add the butter and Angie’s Sauce. I wouldn’t recommend eating...

Drive through was backed up to the road so I thought “let’s eat inside.” Newsflash: there is no inside. So we waited in line to order. Nope. Pulls out phone, orders online. Sees the sign “We don’t have the staff to take in-person orders” but there are people inside making the food (?). Also, you can’t see the people inside working and the windows are tinted, which isn’t shady at all. There could be people inside spitting in my food. You don’t know.
You don’t know. It was a 12 minute wait for food once we ordered, which for fast food is a bit long. Especially when you see what you get. The salad takes a minute to make; the sandwich takes a minute to make.
Since you can’t go inside, and there’s are no seats outside, no public bathroom, and the human interaction is about the same as a vending machine, the service and atmosphere are basically zeros.
I rated the food 4 stars, my spouse 2 stars, so it got 3. I thought the sandwich was pretty darn good for what it was. The hot honey really made it. There was ample meat and it didn’t taste fishy although you could tell it wasn’t the freshest. But we’re in Phoenix and not Maine, Seattle, or NOLA.
The salad was blasé. The individual ingredients were nothing to write home about but the standouts (good) were the cheese and sweet potato (despite it not looking so much like the advertisement). No plastic wear was included.
I also saw a guy get a steak salad and, upon opening to check it out after ordering, was gobsmacked at the tiny pieces he got.
Overall, I’d go back and try more things but with lower expectations. I’d order online ahead of time because it takes about 12 minutes to get there from my house. Maybe I’ll rate them higher in the future?
I have to say from a business standpoint, the idea of a drive through only / order pickup window that is also cashless, is smart because it lowers your overhead, but the customer experience is lost. You’re a glorified...
Read moreWalk up window. I am staying at the hotel next door and came over for breakfast. There is no way to order other than a QR code and phone webpage, the menu is confusing and difficult to navigate. I wanted the grilled wrap with sausage, but couldn't figure out how to get there, so ended up with bacon wrapped in a bread thing. Well, I also don't like QR codes, there are too many ways to pull a scam using QR, (look that up if you don't know). This place should have a touchscreen kiosk for outside ordering. Placed the order and stood there... ... ... ... ... ... Imagine the Jeopardy music playing here ... ... ... The sign on the window says "We will call your name when your order is ready" nope Waited for 10 minutes, then pushed the doorbell..... .... .... Checked my order time, it's been almost 15 minutes, is this place closed? hours note says open every day About this time a car comes through the drive through and I hear voices, car comes forward, gets food and leaves. WTF? I knock on the window, dude opens the window. "Is this your online order Ron?" uh, yeah Food was OK for the price, service sucked, although the guy did remake my order. Took him 3 minutes, which means my order sat there for 12 minutes, when I was standing right there. What happened to "well call your name"???
Suggestions for Angie: Get an order kiosk for out front and have order tickets show that someone is waiting out front. Camera facing outside so workers can see someone is waiting. FIX THE DOORBELL Perhaps ask your workers to actually open the window and call a name out like the sign says you will. Better online menu ordering system that is user friendly. How about a couple of...
