So on the fence on how to rate this place. I am always down for a new coffee spot and will drive just about anywhere to support local and to try their cold brew which is my go to drink . This place has been on my radar for a while and today while my kids are on fall break I decided to take them with me and get their thought as well. First impression from the outside was surprise to find it in a shopping center shared with a grocery store etc, but upon opening the doors it’s a very cool vibe. It definitely gives off that cabin feel. It’s dark, cozy around a fireplace in one spot and some tables and chairs along the main wall. To some it might be too dark. I will say it felt a little small and claustrophobic to me. The tables are close together and it was very busy with no open seat in site. I took that as a good sign. There were a few people working on laptops and such, but more teenagers than anything. Not knocking teens as I brought a few with me, but my daughter felt a bit of snotty side eye from some of them and I could sense it as well. Not the businesses fault, but nothings more fun than being in a room with a bunch of snobby teens. We stood looking at the menu on the wall for a few as well as the food menu we found on a counter. While we saw a employee near the counter she didn’t say hello or acknowledge us once until I practically stood in her face at the register. She was a bit more friendly while I talked with her. I of course ordered my cold brew either some heavy cream and vanilla, a black n white mocha and a chai. Everything was made pretty quick and the same employee even asked to make sure the one drink i ordered extra sweet was ok and offered to adjust if needed. They had a great selection of food items and I would’ve liked to try some things of there had been a place to sit big enough for the three of us, but I didn’t want to try and take it to go as I had a long way to drive home. I liked that they also had a water station where on hot days you can hydrate while also inhaling your coffee and treats ha. I tried many sips of my cold brew before deciding it definitely wasn’t for me. It was a bit too acidic and had a weird after taste. Not sure if it was the heavy whipping cream or the a mixture of both, but unfortunately I wouldn’t order again let alone drive to get it. My son stated his black and white mocha also had an after taste he couldn’t get past so I’m guessing it’s the coffee, bummer. I will say my daughter did like her chai, but didn’t say much else. I will say again we all did love the decor and feel of the place. I don’t think I’d come back though.

This place is awesome. Their coffee is excellent, it tastes great with very low acid. My wife and I have been looking for a small coffee shop for awhile now. I am not a big fan of the brand that appears on every corner. Where they fall short Cabin Coffee Café excels. The coffee is very good, they brew it at the right temperature, and it tastes great with a smooth finish. We also tried a couple of food options, which were quite good as well. The other thing that stood out was the understanding, helpful, and friendly staff. I have difficulty hearing in a lot of restaurants, so I normally communicate orders through my wife. Some places will give me dirty looks, but the employee just adjusted, made it feel normal and not a big deal. They are very accommodating with substitutions on the coffee and food. In fact, I had to go back the next day because from start to finish it was shocking how great the experience was. I walked out feeling like ‘I need to give them a 5-star review.’ So, we went back the next day. I added a shot of expressor to my drink, so I could see if their coffee really is as smooth as the previous day. Which it was. My wife got the cabin burrito and made some changes because of her allergies, and again it was no problem for them. My wife and I both walked away with the feeling that the employees enjoy what they do, and which makes any place better. The coffee and experience are well worth our 20+ minute drive, and we both highly recommend it. Only negative I could come up with is it’s a very small place, so seating is limited. But that is very common with the smaller café style, and yes that is being very picky. Pictures of the food we got are included.

We have been to Cabin Coffee a few times as we live close. On our first visit, we discovered the cooked hot breakfast from scratch and smoothies, along with many other offerings. I ordered a smoothie, and my love ordered a frappe. Both were amazing. On our second visit, I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk. Wow! It was amazing. I tried to add sugar, but it just floated on top until I stirred. It was delicious and gave me the lift I needed. We had been traveling extensively prior to covid, Paris, Rome, London, Athens, Mexican riviera, Sydney and Adelaide, and Kangaroo island. At each location, we looked for small businesses to visit. (If you want to get to know the culture, I strongly recommend this.) In Paris, I had my first cappuccino. Tiny cup, powerful cup. We did afternoon coffee, I was up all night! My observation is that Cabin Coffee cappuccino is as good or better than what I had in Europe. I strongly gly recommend a try.

I've been to Cabin Coffee a number of times before, but not since a few years ago. I went again today expecting the same good experience I always had. Nope. First, when you walk in it's so dark it takes a few minutes for your eyes to adjust. I'd looked on their website to see what kind of food they had now and if they had sugar-free drinks, and I saw they did. I first asked for a small sugar-free mocha avalanche. Next I asked if they had omelets and she pointed me to a menu on the wall behind me. Course I didn't see it at first because, you know, the cave effect they have going on in there. And then the young gal pointed to a very small version of a menu permanently affixed to the counter beneath me and said "And there's one there in front of your face." Alrighty then. Kinda rude. I ordered my omelet and got it and the drink in about ten minutes. The amount of time it took to get them wasn't bad, but the $14 charge for a small drink and 1-item omelet, basically a couple of eggs and a bit of chopped up ham, was ridiculous. The omelet tasted alright, but the sugar-free mocha avalanche tasted like a melted bandaid. I took a few drinks and that was it. So, the two stars is for the okay-tasting omelet and for a place to sit while I waited for my dog to be groomed. I'd planned on staying longer but I just couldn't. Sadly, I...
