Casita Del Mar — Restaurant in Phoenix

Had some initial concerns upon walking into this restaurant. Only saw a few seated tables. Usually Mexican restaurants are quite busy on a Saturday night. Not tonight! Ordered 3 margaritas. Asked for premium. Seriously tasted like generic powdered Gatorade with a cheap tequila. Next came out out the beans and rice. Tasted terrible. Rice was undercooked and lacked flavor. Beans were off. Meat parrillada for 3 was okay, but the quality of meat was definitely not top notch. So many better places in Phoenix. Worst Mexican experience so far that ice...

Quality and service was poor. I walked into dirty tables and I was the only one here and during my whole dining experience they stayed that way. It was hot inside and had a weird smell. I ordered a corona no lime, kept asking for it and never got it. Order the #12 guy didn’t know what it was so he had to come and look at the menu. It was pork carnitas with rice and beans. Some Pork was dry and some not fully cooked. I put one bite in my mouth and could taste it was bad. The only thing safe to consume was the chips...

Bought a to go shrimp cocktail and they use small cheap shrimp. Shrimp tasted like water and only had 6 little shrimps. The veggies didn't have avocado or cucumber, barely even had any tomato and had lots of onions, too many. The saltines were old and hard, didn't give us any lemons, ketchup, napkins, hot sauce or a spoon. To top it off I paid $12.48 for a small cocktail. The place has very little seating and cashier was kind of rude. Very expensive place for their food quality...
