EDIT 7/22/2025: This is in response to the owner's comment I'm not sure what you mean by "rumors"? This was my personal experience. Unfortunately, the service I was provided affected my experience in a negative way, and it affected my review of your business. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because your food wasn't worse than Filibertos which has a generally inviting atmosphere and relatively consistent quality and portion size. As for the comment about the health inspector; I did not see an "A" on the wall, but I did see numerous health code violations such as placing uncooked meats near RTE foods. I also spotted a wood veneer table in the kitchen next to the grill area that I can all but guarantee is not NSF certified. I believe your business has potential, but there are many things it can improve on, and I hope my review can push you the right direction. All the best. - Josh END EDIT -
I went here on the advice of a friend who had seen a video review praising this locations Carne Asada fries. Naturally, I decided to order them myself. I placed my order over the phone for the RandomAF fries and a quesadilla with Birria.
Unfortunately, when I arrived 15 minutes later, the staff (which only speaks Spanish) had no idea who I was or what my order was. It turns out that the person taking the phone orders speaks English very well, and is only there to make you feel comfortable enough to come in and re-order the food in person. He sends a text message to the staff with your order and if the staff doesn't see it, then they don't know it exists.
On arriving, the location is not a standalone restaurant, it's located inside what could pass as a front for another business. The location is a convenience/Liquor store with sparce selections. If you're not of Spanish speaking descent, you will be stared at.
The food itself wasn't bad, but the overall atmoshphere and location will prevent me from going back. They also got my order wrong, so I was never able to taste the carne asada. The birria was good, but it didn't come with consomme, apparently that's extra. The red and green salsa were both honestly revolting, it was just hot peppers blended in water; no seasoning or flavor, just heat. The tomatillo salsa wasn't terrible, as it had some flavor.
If you're in the area already, and you want to put yourself in a "new" situation, then you should check this place out. I'll warn you first that its possible that their kitchen will be shutdown by health inspectors at some point going by the state of the counters and floors when I...
Read moreOrdered for a bunch of people, all really enjoyed their food. Those who ate the birria grilled cheese said sandwich was good, but the consome is what made it. Without it was pretty good. Be sure to get the consomme!
Everyone who ate the birria pizza loved it. Can probably serve 4-5 people.
Tacos were very good. Has pastor, carne asada and carnitas. The juice on the tortillas were a great touch.

Read moreRandom AF Taqueria (yes, that’s the real name) is tucked inside the Northwest Market in Phoenix, and they are doing unholy things with birria—in the best way possible.
Their menu is straight-up wild: birria tacos, birria pizza, even a birria ramen burrito that lives on their secret menu like some kind of culinary urban legend. But the real star of the show? The birria grilled cheese. Gooey, meaty, melty madness smashed between thick, country-style sourdough. It’s everything you didn’t know you needed.
Pro tip: check their IG (@randomaftaqueria2020) for exact location details—or just follow the intoxicating smell of cheese and ambition.
This spot is a hidden gem with main character energy....
