Mcdowell Plaza — Local services in Phoenix

Went into CVS I was riding my bike at night I was there to pick up my glucose meter sticks cuz I'm diabetic and as I walked in the door I was told to leave my backpack at the counter I told the gentleman working there that that was not a backpack that was my purse which was leather and black and not your typical backpack a kid would use, nor didn't look like a typical kids backpack. I told the guy working behind the counter it was my purse not a backpack he still told me I needed to put it behind the counter I understand that they have a problem in that area with thievery. Anyhow in hand my IDs as well as my credit cards in my purse which doubled as a backpack so I told the man working behind the counter I was very unhappy with the customer service after telling a man that it was my purse and not a kids backpack, in which they still had me put it behind the counter I said if my credit cards are my ID or any money would have ended up missing it would have been his job so I'm very unhappy with the customer...

Food City is a Spanish dominated grocery which until recently was very reasonably priced. However a dramatic hike in all items send shivers down my spine. I realize this is the same throughout the food industry but not only did they raise prices, they caught up and on some items took the lead in the "let us widen and deepen the divide" between the MONETARILY endowed and "the can't make ends meet? gee, wonder why their starving and homeless?". But I'm certain if a plethora of additional greenbacks come rolling off the machines, wet and thrown out to the self-certified, it will rectify all the economic woes and relieve our highest inflation in history problem. There are a couple nice shops here mainly just a 24 hour subway and the little Caesar's pizza, but aside from that I avoid this plaza due to the incredibly high level of bums that live here and stay in the stores and approach you while going to and from your car. It doesn't feel safe, I've seen nude bums laying in the open right in front of stores trying to stay cool. I've been approached numerous times by people begging for money and again I don't like leaving my car with Windows even slightly cracked or leaving anyone in my car or not double checking the locks before going in to a store.
