If you're looking for a good experience don't eat at this Chilis location. I have NEVER had a bad experience at any Chilis I've been at with the exception of this location. HORRIBLE!!! That is no exaggeration. Honestly that is actually being nice. Here are some instances of bad experiences we have had at this location.
On my birthday my daughter and son-in -law treated me to Chilis. We all placed our orders at the same time. My order was simple all you can eat soup and salad with chips and salsa. My daughters and son-in-law ordered the smoke house combos. We received our chips and salsa and the second appetizer we ordered. My daughter and son-in-law both received their orders however, I am still waiting for mine. Every time our server came to refill our drinks we kept asking for my order (where was it) and we kept getting told it's coming out shortly. THEN our server comes out shows us the kiosk said we can pay our bill on there and asked if there was anything else we needed. WE LOOKED at her confused and said... YES my order??? It was a simple order of all you can eat soup and salad and we never received it even though we ASK SEVERAL TIMES!!!!
Today I placed an order online for pick up. PICK UP WAS NOT THROUGH A THIRD PARTY. We actually went there to pick it up. Fajitas, chicken crisper's, 2 orders of chips salsa, and buffalo chicken salad with chicken enchilada soup. They didn't have the ranch extra dressing we requested, the extra salsa we requested, and the extra tortillas we requested. The chicken enchilada looked like mash potatoes. The spoon actually stood up in the middle of the container. Why does EVERY OTHER Chilis location put the tortilla strips and cheese in separate containers for their to-go orders? Why does your location mix it all together for your to-go orders? BUT WHAT... really... makes... this review special, the icing on the cake.... as I eat my buffalo chicken salad I get stuck in my mouth and half way down my throat and nice long black hair. Yup! No one will ever know what that feels like to pull a long hair from your mouth out of your throat.
There have been multiple issues with this location. These were the worst we have had with this location. Yes I know we live in one of the worst neighborhoods in Phoenix but, does that mean the quality of food and service should be bad as well? The servers have attitude, pretty obvious the same goes for the kitchen. I know this is a chain but, if whoever owns this location doesn't want to improve things, you're just here for the money, here is some advise from a FORMER CUSTOMER... CLOSE!!
I tried several times to give this location the benefit of doubt but, this many F@#$ ups, there is no excuse. Even if you offered me a free meal and I will NEVER come back to this location. We are taking our business to the other side of town, 101 and 27th avenue, THEY have better service and better quality of food. See nasty pictures pictures below.
Signed... the ghetto...
Read moreI'm not one for reviews, but WOW was this terrible. The table we sat at was dusty and I asked if we could get a wipe down and we did quickly which was great. Appetizers were great. We had no issues up until we got our entrées.
Once we got our food, I did ask the food runner for ranch and while we waited, my girlfriend cut into a steak that was medium-well instead of medium-rare. It took awhile for the server to come and check on us(which I understand, he had other tables) when our food hit the table which was about 5 minutes after our food hit the table. This meant 5 minutes of my food going from hot to warm while the food runner completely forgot the ranch I asked for (again, not upset at the server. I'm upset at the food runner). The fact that they forgot to put ranch on a plate that's chicken bacon ranch quesadillas was confusing but then it became annoying when I figured she wasn't coming back with the ranch.
Let's go to the medium-well steak that was sent back. They did fire up another one and the manager personally brought it out and wanted to see the first cut which did she it was medium-rare..... in the middle. The manager walked away and we started cutting in the the steak more. The inconsistency of the rarity of the steak was insane. It was medium-rare in the middle but then as we made cuts toward both ends, it was well done. We cut the pieces off, put them on a separate plate (which was a quarter of the steak itself) to show our server that the steak was not cooked properly again. The server then proceeds to say "well the steak is obviously going to be more cooked as you get towards the ends."
I'm sorry, WHAT?? I understand if he's never cooked a steak before, but to give us an answer like that was ridiculous. Once we heard that, we just looked at each other and just decided to send it back and said no need to fire up a third, we'll just finish up with what we currently have in front us.
After we sent it back, nobody came to our table. Not for refills, not to apologize, or to even ask for a dessert. NOTHING.
I work in the food industry as well. I understand how hard it is sometimes and how there are certain things that isn't the server's/manager's fault. But at MY restaurant l, if WE mess up, you bet we're checking in on the customers constantly and trying to offer something to make up for our mistake, especially if they don't want a new entrée. The only thing they did was comp a lemonade. Everyone had a part in this bad review from the food runner, the server, and the manager.
Hopefully they do...
Read moreMy family and I went there to eat yesterday around 3ish. Upon entering, no one seemed to be working as hostess so we just stood there for a min wondering if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait for someone. Eventually a nice waitress came and got us and took us to a booth. Once we were sat, it took awhile longer and a waitress arrived for drink and app order, we placed them and the drinks came out decently fast. We had no silverware or straws set at our table, and the waitress was able to eventually bring them. Once we ordered that was about all we saw of our waitress. Mind you we were at one point THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE RESTAURANT, and when we weren’t the only ones there was no more than two other tables. There were two waiters and a bartender and a manager...so shouldn’t have been an issue... so I was a bit surprised to have to empty drinks sitting all across our table, no one to pop in to see how the food tasted or ever brought the side of ranch we asked for twice. I have to say the food was excellent, and even though the service sucked, they were friendly. There was no rudeness or anything, just no service either. After we ate, we waited for 10 or 15 mins for our waitress to bring a check, and I had a coupon to give her...she was literally nowhere to have been found. She finally shows up, sweet and kind of course and I ask for a to go box and the check...5 mins later (and still we are the only customers in the store) i have neither a check or box, I remember that I needed to give her a coupon code, so I get up to find her before she prints the check. She was just standing behind the bar talking with the bar tender. Once she saw me she went and grabbed a to go box and headed to the computer to print my check. I was shocked! Literally she had to walk right by the computer and to go boxes to get behind the bar to talk to the bartender and rather than immediately grabbing what we the custermer requested knowing we had hardly been attended to, she walked right past it and gabbed with the bartender. I was so disappointed with the service. I still left a 20% tip , but really felt it was 5%-10% effort. Again, food was good and the people were all around kind and nice....just don’t go if you’re not it a hurry or don’t mind walking around restaurants tracking down servers to get refills, comdements,...
