Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Phoenix

I don't generally like to leave "bad" reviews but That's what all of this is about isn't it? (Our experiences etc) but.... although I have had the same thing at a different Dairy Queen (a confetti cake dipped cone) & it was very good. Tasted like it was supposed to. At THIS particular location on Cave Creek, unfortunately, the "confetti dip" Tasted as if it had absorbed the metal of the vat that it was in. Or something. 🤔 The service was fine. The ppl were nice enough etc. It's just.... I won't be going back to this one probably any time soon due to the taste of the cone. Unfortunately. So, maybe they need to replace some of the equipment. ?? Idk. But it definitely did NOT taste right. This was just my experience. I figured I'd leave this review in hopes that maybe a manager or owner will see/read it & can hopefully fix the issue so this doesn't happen to many more ppl. Because I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed this. Even if I MAY BE the 1st& only 1 to put it into writing. Some ppl when they have an unfortunate experience such as this they simply do not return to that particular place but do not bother "saying " anything about it. Talk about abysmal! The 'restaurant' has serious issues with its sanitation and health standards.

Let's start with the unwelcome guests, the roaches. I was eating at a booth yesterday and I noticed something crawling along the floor right under where I was sitting. I take a glance down under the seat and it was a cockroach the size of my thumb! It wasn't alone either! There were a total of 6 roaches collectively underneath the booth I was sitting in! Absolutely appalling that a DQ restaurant would have such a massive infestation!

Secondly, the state of the store (mainly the ceiling but just about everything in the lobby as well) is beaten to high hell! There are holes in the ceiling where they patched with plywood from the home Depot down the street! How embarrassing and frankly quite abysmal!

I asked an employee (I'm not provide that information for their safety) and they stated "a health inspector came by recently and rated them with a B+!" Which is frankly concerning seeing how THAT'S THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT FOR THE ENTIRE STATE! How in the hell did they let this slide????

The food was good, the ice cream was even better but the state of the interior is frightening! I will not be returning, ever. I suggest you...

I've visited this location since I was very young. I have received good service most of the time. I always like to get the chicken tenders/strips but they're the size of maybe two chicken nuggets. They always let me get the $5 lunch box anytime of the day,now they don't. I pay extra to get chocolate syrup or another candy (Oreo,cookie dough,Reese's,etc) in my blizzard, and end up going home and finding out they didn't add it and I wasted money. They also closed the dining room early a few times. I went to get dinner a little late, they close at 10:30, I got there around 10:10 and they said they are no longer cooking food and will only do ice cream/blizzards. I have worked in fast food, and if someone comes at 10:29 and you close at 10:30, you still serve that customer! Not to mention, I am a regular customer who has gone here for 15+ years and it seems like this location has gone downhill. I will still always go here since it's my local DQ, but they need to definitely Up their customer service, and do better on their food that...
