We ordered a birthday cake for my Aunt for her 60th birthday, we requested white cake with no chunks in the filling. The cake was Purple, with a cake that looked yellow, it was overcooked and was not moist at all. The frosting was purple with bubbles and butterflies that were paper. The bubbles were just plastic and the 60 that I requested be placed on the top was a cheap paper 60. We requested the $135 cake and the bill ended up be $171 and the cake was not good. The bakery chose the color and decor and with a cake this expensive I think this is something that should have been asked. She hates the color purple and is terrified of butterflies. This was not a 60 year old cake at all. When I asked for a response from the bakery she told me she would be turning me into Google business representative for doing a google review. The communication up to the cake delivery was good but this cake tasted like a box cake mix that was overcooked and when given a picture of the crust of all of the cakes she said it’s normal for it to be brown. I have had many cheap grocery store cakes and many bakery cakes and this was probably one of the worst tasting cakes I have ever had. The follow up I waited 3 days for a response and she is doing nothing to make this better. She even accused us of eating all of the cake because the platter was empty. the cake was cut into 8 pieces so everyone could take their portion for the birthday weekend but no one ate their cake. This was a big deal to spend this much on a cake for those that split this cake for their sisters 60th birthday and it was a total flop. We will never order from here again nor will we recommend this place to any friends or family in the area. Beware customers you are not getting a bakery cake when ordering and paying $135 dollars. I do not bake and I could have made a better cake myself. So...
Read moreBEWARE: THIS IS NOT A REAL BAKERY– Scottsdale bakery has NOT been in business 15 years, either. Do not trust your precious memories to this person– she just canceled on me in the 11th hour. Dont take the chance she will do it to you. Long story short, after agreeing to $125 for a simple chocolate cherry cake, $45 for delivery (plus gratuity) I found it distasteful to be asked to pay additional funds to include a card so my recipient knew who sent him the cake. This is a woman baking out of her home, who obviously doesn't know the meaning of the words customer service. I am a burn patient having procedures out of town and unfortunately will miss my best friend's milestone birthday. Agreeing to these prices – it's obvious I would have done almost anything to get my best friend the cake he loves on his birthday– except get taken advantage of. Liz wasted my entire day going over details and then canceled in the 11th hour. Play it safe, go to a professional business with standards– Don't let her do the same...
Read moreWill never order another cake from this so called bakery. I know the pandemic has affected every single business in the country but you should have informed your customer's that you are working out of your home and using box cake mix and canned frosting. I would have never spent $117.00 dollars on a cake I could have made myself for 20 dollars. Then to also have to pay $15.00 dollars to pick a cake up from your husband. I just want consumers to know that the pick up location is only 3 blocks from your home. You are taking advantage of people and I will never allow you to do that to my family ever again. Please do your research on this bakery before you spend alot of money on something that is just boxed cake mix and...
