My wife and I stopped by Infusion today while waiting for our dogs to get groomed. It felt like the perfect time to pop in and check it out, and I’m glad we did.
The vibe inside is cool and modern, with a clean aesthetic and some fun touches like coffee mugs lining the wall, shelves of beans you can take home, and unique brewing gear such as AeroPress kits. It’s clear they cater to real coffee lovers and offer more than your standard drip.
What stood out most was their competition espresso. I’ve never seen that on a menu anywhere else in town. It was strong, flavorful, and honestly one of the better shots I’ve had in a while. The only thing that threw me off was that they served it in a paper cup, which felt a bit off for something that premium. Presentation aside, it was absolutely worth the try.
One thing I noticed was how quiet it was. Nobody else was in there during our visit. That could just be a timing thing, but with the quality of coffee they’re serving, I’d love to see more people discovering this spot. The team was friendly and knowledgeable, and the menu shows a real passion for the craft. They offer a variety of brewing methods too, which was a highlight for me. Seeing something like an AeroPress as a brewing option was really cool.
All in all, it’s a spot I’d return to, especially to explore more of what they’re doing with beans and brewing. If they elevate the presentation and drum up some more buzz, Infusion could easily become a standout name in the Phoenix...
Read moreThis place has a lot of potential which is why I waited to visit 3 times before leaving this review. I’ll start with the constructive feedback first. The coffee beans are very expensive. 8 oz for $20+. They also have bags on the shelf with a roast date that is 2 months ago. I’m willing to pay for good coffee and usually buy beans from local roasters but that is unacceptable for that price range. The drinks also take a long time to make. The first time I went they lost my ticket and it took 20+ minutes for a drink. The 2nd time the drinks still took 10+ minutes even when they were slow. They made my wife’s matcha latte and just left it on the back counter rather than bringing it to her so when she got it a bit of the ice had melted. And I know this one sounds oddly specific but the built in bench seating at the tables are built too high and they are very firm so they aren’t super comfortable. And this is coming from someone that is on the taller side.
The positives are that the baristas and staff are incredibly friendly. It has a very clean and laid back vibe with nice decor. The food and coffee is fantastic. They have outlets all over so it’s a good place to setup a laptop and get some work done. It’s definitely a nice addition to the hood so I hope they can fix these small issues and it will be a fantastic coffee shop, similar to their...
Read moreI didn’t get to try food/coffee unfortunately. When I first walked in, there was a gal who appeared to be waiting a while and left. I was next and the gal working the drive through was very nice and talkative. The gentleman who came to take my order, in the middle of me telling him what I wanted, another customer came up and interrupted me complaining he hadn’t gotten his sandwich. The gentleman had forgotten about it. The gentleman didn’t let me finish my order and just walked away to start making the sandwich. I waited for a little while longer, but the gentleman never once apologized for not finishing my order or told me he would be right with me. He left as soon as the man asked about his sandwich. It just rubbed me the wrong way to not even acknowledge me or that he was making me wait even longer than I had already been waiting. All the while, he is just standing there to wait for the sandwich to finish cooking. Some sort of communication at the very least would...
