Delizia Deli & Café — Restaurant in Phoenix

OK, let’s be honest, North Phoenix does not always have the best independent restaurants but there is an exception and it’s called Delizia.

First and foremost, this is a full service, full menu, Italian Deli amen! Start with the fact that they have a full breakfast menu, coffee bar, desert case, soups, cannolis, and most prominently sandwiches. The sandwich I got was number 32, The Italian Sub, apparently their most popular. The bread was soft and perfectly baked. The meat was flavorful and generous. Friendly and helpful staff that seem to love their job.

I cannot say enough about this place. I am so happy to find it and I love being able to recommend amazing independent restaurants like this that truly help define the uniquely diverse population that live in Phoenix.

Where can I start this place has gone down hill I just spent 184.35 dollars this morning sent my guy there to pick this order up the lady on the phone said 7:40am-8am and that’s fine I understand a order with 25 burritos might take some time but my guy was greeted with attitude because he was there at 7:35 am she could have handled this buy saying we are still making them you can please wait and we will let you know as soon as your order is ready instead of an attitude this has cost this place a loss of business from me we are a multi million dollar company 600 employees so sad ! A Hidden Gem in North Phoenix!

This deli is a lovely little gem tucked away in North Phoenix. The space is spotless, and it’s clear they use only top-quality ingredients. Service was quick, and the staff were warm and welcoming. They even had the weekend’s PGA final playing on the TV, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere.

I ordered a small meatball sandwich and a drink, and I was genuinely impressed by both the taste and the value. To my surprise, the meal also came with a small bag of Lay’s potato chips and a fantastic pickle — seriously, one of the best I’ve had!
