My wife and I have started to frequent this place more often than not for a quick sandwich during our lunch time. Port of Subs has been great. Although not a sandwich we're used to in the Bay Area, this is a good overall sandwich for a quick bite. We have eaten most of the meats from the different combinations there is. Further, we think it's a lot better than Subway. Subway's 'toasted' is through high speed toaster that crisps the bread and meat. Port of Subs' toaster is more like a panini press, which I think is far superior and it doesn't have a crispy feeling. The toppings and selection of bread you can get from Port of Subs is really good. Chipotle sauce is good and I'm also glad that there's a mustard/mayo mix. On top of all this, the staff (looks to be family owned), are super friendly. One time, they apologized that there weren't any napkins, and there's a roll of paper towels which worked. The most recent time, I got the chipotle sauce and my wife noticed and told them she'll get that next time. However, one of the owners gave a little cup of it to try. Overall, great food, great sandwiches, and great...
Read moreI don’t think I’ve ever written a bad review for a company, so let that explain how BAD this was! First, when ordering, the guacamole was a true color is brown. Yuck. But I just decided to order something else, no big deal.
As we go to sit, I noticed a large sized bug of some sort crawling all around. I move our food to another table, and when we sat down, what I thought were crumbs on the ground were actually a minimum of 15 small bugs. Some were still moving on my husbands side of the table. I was unable to find a table in this place that didn’t have BUGS!
This was the most disgusting restaurant I’ve ever been to. It is my intention to contact whoever I need to to get a food inspection. This was so gross. I will never go back. I can’t even imagine how contaminated the actual food is. No pride in this restaurant. So insanely...
Read moreI recently visited Port of Subs and tried the #15 sandwich, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The bread seemed stale, and the overall quality of the sandwich was disappointing. The best part of my meal ended up being the chips.
I also found the layout of the store to be a bit inconvenient. The trash cans are located all the way in the back near the restrooms, which makes disposing of food awkward. Additionally, the seating arrangement and overall setup of the space felt cluttered and unorganized, which detracted from the dining experience.
On a positive note, the staff members were very kind and welcoming. While their friendly service was appreciated, it wasn’t enough to make up for the quality of the food or the atmosphere. Unfortunately, I don’t plan to return, but I hope this feedback is helpful in making...
