Came in on a Friday and it was not busy at all. The issue is they only had two servers. I waited 10 minutes to be seated with my children, and we waited 15 minutes for drinks. After we got our drinks, which took another 10 minutes, our order was taken and we were finally served 20 minutes later. Everyone’s food was fine except for mine. The eggs were scorched, the sausage was burnt on the outside and pink on the inside, and the pancakes were not cooked in the middle. There was raw batter in the center. I asked for cheese in my eggs and I was charged for cheese in my eggs, but there was no cheese in my eggs. I asked the waitress to take my meal off of the ticket and she said she would ask the manager. Finally after she keeps walking past the table and avoiding me I go to the register and she says “…well you ate everything so my manager just took off three dollars”. I did not eat everything. I didn’t eat anything because the food was disgusting. I felt like I was being treated rudely and I could’ve been spoken to better. I feel like the manager, Vanessa, should’ve gone out of her way to speak to me face-to-face, but Vanessa avoided me like a coward. I felt mistreated, and I didn’t feel valuable, and I was embarrassed to spend my money at a place that would not try to make this small issue, right . I was mistreated and because of that I will not return. My husband is in the Army so we get a military discount which is more than what the three dollars that she took off for the pancakes work. The reason why I know this is because the discounts cannot be combined so I wasn’t even compensated for the issue nor did anyone ever apologize to me or even just offered to remake my food. As a mom, I hardly ever get to sit down and eat, and this was just another day that that was true. I’ll live without Denny’s and Denny’s will live without me. Signed a mom who was just trying to treat her kids after a fun Halloween night,...
Read moreDecided to take my wife and son for the "All You Can Eat" breakfast going on right now. Seeing as how the 99th Ave and Lower Buckeye location just opened last week I hoped it would be an experience to remember. Oh it was, but sadly not for the reasons it should have been.
Our server was Jessica and she seemed okay at first, but that changed real quick. My son found something disgusting in his Sprite and we notified that we needed a new one. Jessica brought the new one, but never picked up the old one, so we were stuck staring at what looked like a loogie on the side of the cup for the duration of the meal. No matter. We had all you can eat, so after multiple plates were stacked on the table from the first serving, we were ready for more. Jessica came by and asked if we were good then walked away without waiting for a reply. She did not pick up the dishes, nasty cup, or asking if we would like more all you can eat (we were basically ignored most of the time by her). Another server Hannah came over and asked if we needed anything. She has the kind of personality you look forward to.
Hannah helped us every time we asked for something even though she was dealing with other tables. She was amazing. My wife asked if she would be our server. She laughed, but we were DEAD serious. Next time we go there I'll personally ask for her and even wait until she's available. She's literally the only reason I'd go back to that location.
The Manager gave us a discount because of our complaint. The meal was almost $32.00. Hannah got a $10 tip from us at the table AND 22% on the bill itself.
If this was reviewing Jessica it would be one star easily, but Hannah is what made me push it up. If it was only her I'd have given five stars.
Long story short: Jessica = no,...
Read moreAt 1 AM there is nearly nothing to do in Tolleson Arizona. So I decided to hang out at this Denny's that I have been to many times. The atmosphere is very nice, the service is fine, and the food is usually mediocre (my experience with food in Arizona has been very underwhelming so you definitely can't expect much from a Denny's in Arizona). However, running into Sebastian and Jocelyn this morning has far exceeded my expectations, and they both showed me talent that I did not know existed in Denny's! First, the server (Sebastian) was very polite, friendly, professional, and efficient with handling all of my needs, banter, and fun conversations. Next, I asked the chef (Jocelyn), "How confident are you in cooking steak?" Jocelyn confidently answered with a mighty ten. So I took her challenge up and ordered the T-Bone Steak medium rare. To my surprise, the steak was not mediocre nor underwhelming. The seasoning and temperature of the steak was perfectly on point that it actually rivals steaks I have had from steakhouses. Jocelyn's cooking blew my mind and I was beyond impressed. I have never ate such greatly cooked food from a Denny's before where the cooking was perfect right down to every detail of the dish. Because of both Sebastian and Jocelyn, I had a wonderful midnight hour. This is a visit from Denny's I will...
