We looked on maps for burgers near us and saw that Fatburger was open until 9. We got there @8:06, barely walked through the door and a worker was standing at the counter and half yelled "we're closed". I said we'll it says online that you're open until 9. He replied that it was only for online orders. I said, well it doesn't say that on maps app. He assured me it did, so i asked him to show me. Of course, he couldn't because it does not say that dining room closes at 8. I asked him his name and he told it was Xavier. I told him thanks and I was going to put it in my review, he replied "we don't care about that stuff". There were 2 people in dining eating, so I really have a hard time understanding why we couldn't order, eat and enjoy a meal, when the kitchen is obviously open and would not potentially be cleaned until the posted closing time after 9:00. We get there's more to cleaning than that, but nevertheless, the open hours should be honored. We have a business and know what it takes to change and/or define hours. Its not that hard nor is it acceptable for an employee to tell you the hours are on there when it's not, not to care about reviews or to simply say "ok, I can help you". In my book, this is terrible service. This was on Aug 2 by the way. We don't believe that Xavier (if thats his real name) should be in contact with customers if he's going to argue with them and let them walk out of the...
Read moreOk...this is a tough one. I walked into this new Fatburger location with an open mind. I love burgers.
The lady who took my order was less than friendly, but not rude. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo. Bacon and cheese are not included, so they upcharge you for both. So for my 1/2 pound burger with bacon and cheese, fries and a drink...the total was close to $18 USD.
That is an expensive burger. By any standard. I immediately said I would never come back WAY too expensive.
It was clear they made my burger after I ordered it. What I mean is, it took 15 minutes to get my lunch. So don't come here thinking it will be quick. (You can probably order online ahead of time but I don't know)
Now, the burger was REALLY good. Flavorful, juicy burger, crispy bacon, gooey cheese, crunchy raw onions. I was blown away. I had convinced myself (due to prices) before the burger came that it wasn't going to be good.
Having said that... it is still a very pricey lunch. Too pricey for me. I imagine rent is high at this location so they are forced to charge insane prices (we aren't in San Francisco) but I would only return on a special occasion. It's too expensive and takes too long .
4 stars cuz the burger was great...
Read moreHoly cow Batman, I ordered two tiny sliders small fry and drink. $15. I was still hungry. They were tasty, they do make a good burger but you will pay dearly for it. I guess they figure it's only fair since McDonald's is now trying to get $10 for their burgers... Fast food is no longer viable for what it was originally intended to be in my opinion... Even taco Bell forces you into buying combo meals now creeping up on $10. I'm going to focus on patronizing small mom-and-pop sit down places and staying away from these corporate cash cows. If I'm going to overpay for food, I want to know its going somewhere I can appreciate. Seriously you can go to Brian's BBQ and stuff yourself silly for about the same as you pay here for a burger. I'm sure it doesn't help that they probably pay $8,000 a month for their tiny retail space. Honestly we should probably blame on the real estate investing on why everything is so expensive and stop blaming the minimum wage workers. I guarantee their overhead cost more than...
