I have never had a cashier, or anyone in customer service, be so blatantly rude and arrogant to me. The cashier forgot a meal in my order (chicken burrito) and forgot to ring up another meal in my order (a #1). I did not realize this until I got home. The #1 was for my father, a diabetic who needs to eat at specific times to keep his diabetes under control and take his insulin. I gave him my food and decided to call and explain the mistake.
When I called I spoke to Dulce (I believe, she was very hesitant to give me her name) who said that there was not room in the bag for my burrito so she left it on the counter. She didn't put it in a bag and said it was my fault it was forgotten. I told her I would be returning to the store immediately for my food and the forgotten order.
Twenty minutes later I arrived and she handed me my cold burrito. It had taken almost an hour for me to drive home and return. The food was cold. I asked for it to be remade, she said no. I said I didn't want cold food, she said that I didn't have to take it. She was condescending and laughing at me. I was shocked. I asked for a manager, she said he wasnt there. I asked for a phone number to contact him at, she said she would not give me one. I asked.if there was anyone else to speak to, again no. I said I would rather talk to anyone, even the cook. She said he wouldnt understand me and that even if he could he didn't want to talk to me. I said "really? This is how you're going to be?" She laughed again and said "Yes!". She asked if I wanted the forgotten part of my order. It was not made yet. By her absolutely horrific attitude and her apparent control of the cook I was certain my food would have a lovely spit dressing. I canceled that part of my order. I hope she didn't wipe the floor with the burrito my mother ate. Since she was so below even politeness standards for jail inmates I wouldn't put it past her.
I have never, ever thought someone should be fired for poor customer service. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they're having a bad day, busy night etc. But this was beyond the pale. If she does not get fired she needs so much training in customer service that you may want to create a twelve week intensive course just for her specifically.
I sincerely hope I hear from at least a manager from this specific location, but I would like to hear from management above him as well, since he is responsible for this employee and she seems to believe that she is some sort of protected employee. Otherwise I doubt she would be in a position to talk to customers.
Details of my visit are below. I look forward to hearing from management shortly.

HOWEVER.
Ask me 4 weeks ago, I would've told you this place gets 5 stars. But, as of a couple weeks ago, the prices jumped basically 50-60% overnight for zero reason, skyrocketing the price for two quesadillas from $22, all the way up to $36. I paid that price once and will no longer be going to filibertos unless the prices go back down to something more reasonable. The old price wasn't super cheap, but it was worth it for the size and quality/taste of the quesadillas. The prices have gone up now by $14 overnight and for $36, you could get much more or much better food for the same price, if not a little more. NOT WORTH ANYMORE imo. Seriously, you could pay $20 per person for AYCE good quality sushi at trappers, or go to a carniceria and pay much less for a similar quesadilla or two if you're really feeling mexican food.
The food and employees are really good, but the decision to raise the prices so high has now driven me away from going back to filibertos. I'd say try the food at least one time if you're willing to pay. The food will be amazing and your stomach will be full, but your wallet will be empty.
Btw if you do go, I highly recommend a Pollo Asado Quesadilla. Eat it with pico de Gallo, salsa Verde, guacamole, and crema. Absolutely fire. Try not to burn your fingers though, the quesadillas are...
Read moreUh....I love this place. I didn't think it's a normal Filiburtos (my oldest used to call them "Philip Burritos" when he was young). Maybe Filiburtos everywhere changed. But my son and my mom say they've had other Filiburtos and they didn't taste like this one on Baseline/32nd St. I've had the shredded beef tacos, Cabeza burrito, Texas burrito, their chunky salsa, and their green sauce. This place is delicious! The tacos are crispy but not too crispy. Perfect amount of cheese, meat and lettuce. I'm not a fan of sour cream by itself. But when it mixes with whatever the sauce is in the Texas burrito! Uh✨ magical✨. The Cabeza burrito isn't for everyone. It's super fatty. I love fat! But you're missing out on the delicious seasoning in this thing if you don't like fatty meat. The chunky salsa is the best salsa I've had at a chain-semi-fast foody-restuarant. Lastly, the free chips they have, next to the salsa that you can put in trays. I'm pretty sure these are made in-house. They are really good. Not too thin, not too hard. This place is the best Filiburtos I've ever eaten at. Oh, and the staff are nice (well, the girl I always talk to is). Even when you do an order over the phone and you change the salsa you want a pint of 3 times and then take back the salsa cuz you still said it wrong. She still banter's with you jokingly...I know girlfriend, it was my...
