Third time eating at this location in the past couple months and it’s just awful. Wanted to give it a chance before leaving a review. Each time we sat on the patio due to our comfort level during Covid. First visit we waited a long time for a table and finally got seated. Tables were very spaced out - only 4 on a very large patio, when actually they could have 6 tables since it’s outside. Inside was pretty jam packed so this makes zero sense. After waiting ANOTHER 20 mins, Waitress never came at all to take our order and we had to get up and tell the host to send someone out! Ridiculous, but she finally shows and then took another 15 mins to bring water. Food was good but she forgot to put our pancake on the order so it showed up way later. Never refilled drinks, but of course the one thing she didn’t forget was the check. Second visit was much better (hence the 2 stars), but you have to show up super early right when they open and waitresses are hit or miss. Third time we came and now we’re done with this location!!! Arrived at 7:45am and they say 40 min wait for patio...ok...except one side was closed with no tables and only one patio is open?? Waited close to 1 hour and saw everyone else that came after us seat before us! Hostess was super obnoxious coming outside and yelling peoples names. Why??? Don’t they text?? She never once checked if we were ok - had to ask about the wait time. Finally get seated and table top was unstable and falling apart...and they also didn’t clean properly! Food and dirt was all underneath our feet. Here’s a few common sense things: Clean and fix outdoor tables, add 2 more to the patios, hire more attentive staff, have creamers full before seating, add a “required” reservation system to alleviate ridiculous wait times on weekends, bring clean water glasses that are larger than a child’s cup, train staff better for consistency and focus less on to-go orders if you’re jam packed on weekends and can’t keep up!! All in all will not be back for a while and definitely not to...
Read morePoor management average food at best. I never thought the good eggs food was very good for the price. But we were getting stamps towards a free meal so I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to eat a few more times and get a free meal. After being explained there are so many rules to the card I was discouraged to eat there again. My girlfriend and I had gone to eat our last 2 meals and get a free one. I bought my meal to get my 5th stamp and then use my free meal to pay for my girlfriends. The management told me I couldn't use a free meal on the other purchase it had to be a separate time. I told the manager I was upset about the program and since I did have a total of 8 meals already between 2 different stamped cards and it only takes 5 to get a free one I would appreciate a free meal to satisfy a frequent customer. She said she couldn't do that-and I used to manage a restaurant and I know that mangers do have authority to make customers happy---that's one of the reason managers exist. I told her I wouldn't come back ever again if she didn't accommodate me. She said that was my choice. So I left her the cards-I paid my bill and I strongly urg you not to eat at the Good Egg because their food is average, overpriced, and the management will not stretch themselves to make sure you leave happy-even if you have bought several...
Read moreI went for breakfast this morning and sat at the long table (similar to the tables they have at Starbucks.) This table in particular is in the center of the restaurant. I immediately noticed I was the only African American in the entire restaurant besides the host who was employed there (no problem.. atleast to me). I waited about 7 minutes when the host (again also African American) noticed no one came to take my order... So he had to take it. About 15 minutes later, a Caucasian woman comes and sits at the end of my table... She was greeted and her order was taken soon after she sat down. A Caucasian party of two then sat directly in front of me at the same table.. they to were greeted and had their orders taken soon after they sat down as well. The host did not have to take their orders. The same person that took their orders walked passed me several times. I would never go back to this restaurant as it is clear they need diversity training. I want to warn other minorities that this may happen to them if they decide to go as well. I thought about bringing the issue up to management, but because certain groups of people are less likely to experience discrimination in relation to others.. I knew that there would be a lack of understanding. As a precaution, I just won't put myself back in that...
