gil and Chris put together a good experience but there is a third employee that has defiantly put a sour taste in my mouth ill describe it in one word RUDE...have you ever herd the term the customer is always right?i don't think so because im a regular and always super friendly and this specific instance made me so mad that i had to create a anonymous account to leave a review RUDEEE RUDEE RUDEE use your manners because at the end of the day i may be 21 but im a paying customer and i know you know who is writing this if your reading this and answer me this if i was 70 would you have handled that the same way you told me a statement i said ok and was still nice till you became very unprofessional so you have lost a customer unless there the only ones working witch btw guys gills food is bomb so is the service just not mr...

It’s like eating at your friend’s house… a friend from New Mexico who’s got serious culinary game. Highly recommend.

The food is delicious and simple New Mexican comfort food. We had a variety of choices at our table, but my favorite was definitely carne adovada - pork simmered in red chile sauce, served with warm tortillas and trimmings. The red chile was rich and tasty, and the heat was just right - enough to make me sweat just a bit, not so much that it was uncomfortable.

The service was casual, warm, and friendly.

The place itself is cozy (small) and warm. Conversation with neighbors just seemed natural...

I’ve been wanting to visit Gil’s for awhile, and it did not disappoint. First off - this is one of the few restaurants in the valley that won’t freeze their patrons by pumping their A/C. The dining room was a very comfortable temperature. 2nd - they have a small and cute dog friendly patio. The food was delicious, not too spicy - but the heat was still there. I had the red chile smothered beef sopapilla - it was the perfect way to end my week. As a native New Mexican - this place is legit. Plus, you can’t beat the prices - the quality you get for the price is top notch. We will for sure...
