Edit / Read if you’re ordering a cake Return customer who ordered a $300 set of cakes and they CANCELLED the order without a call to me the week of my daughter’s birthday. Shocking as they did call me when my son’s cake was not going to be ready on time and I was understanding / opted to leave a good review. Atrocious customer service. I’m now left without a cake for my 1-year-old. People rely on bakeries to bring extra joy to loved ones gathering around for major life events, and celebrations. It seems this bakery has forgotten that with all of their Instagram fame.

—————

PS- I encourage everyone placing a cake order to read the owner’s passive aggressive response. Don’t we all want to support businesses that are aggressive?

I emailed and called this “business” owner at 7:30am this morning to pay the $158 balance of said $300 invoice (an overcharge anyway for a plain white cake with flowers and a fondant goose on top) and get an out of office reply at 7:38 that they are closed all week (see screenshot again).

Were you waiting to make a cake at 7am or on vacation? It’s clear it’s the latter, as I received no call back. No grace that I showed them when my son’s cake wasn’t ready on time (see screenshot). Just a lengthy online comment.

This business is being run by fools who are good at social media, but bad at running a business / customer service.

I don’t expect them to last beyond 2026 if they want to make examples out of a 1-year-old child’s birthday.

Maybe they aren’t passive aggressive after all but just aggressive.

The cakes at this bakery are so fantastic, I debated writing this review and just keeping the secret to myself. But here I am. The cakes are wonderful (white velvet is my personal favorite). And owners/team are just as wonderful as...

Visited Hunnie Butter today this is my opinion.

All the cheesecakes were thick and creamy but flavor wise nothing set them apart. They all pretty much tasted the same. I would rate the cheesecakes a 6/10. The only cheesecake that tasted a lil different was the salted Carmel , I would rate that a 7/10 All the cheesecakes tasted how a standard cheesecake should taste at best.

The strawberry lemon cupcake tasted just like lemon and strawberry! The frosting was extra flavorful…however the cupcake itself lacked moisture. I would rate this cupcake a 6/10

The peach cobbler pound cake - The pound cake had a great consistency/moisture level , the crust around the cake was pretty good, but flavor wise it just wasn’t what I was expecting . I would rate this item a 5/10

The banana pudding- By the taste alone you could tell the pudding was not instant. The cookies were not soggy although being pre prepared which is great! Flavor wise it tasted more like vanilla bean pudding with wafers. It wasn’t bad but just not what I was expecting & it could be because I’m accustomed to the “packaged pudding” and this bakery makes it all from scratch. I would rate the pudding a 5/10

Nothing at this bakery was “nasty” but there wasn’t anything to make me ever want to come here again. I would say the cheesecakes are probably more of a highlight than anything else.

Would I go out my way to come here again? No. But if someone had a fix for some cheesecake this place could work.

Customer service 10/10 from the gentleman that assisted us. However we did notice that the owner took a pie and gave it to someone way in the back of the line that just walked in as we were asking about it. Another customer also picked up on this and made a comment within our hearing …

Overall...

I discovered this little gem when it showed up on my Instagram feed. I was drawn in by all the delicious looking treats and very happy, positive videos. They recently opened up a brick & mortar location off 12th St. & Camelback so I knew I had to give it a try.

I love Strawberry-anything so I bought a Strawberry Shorty Cupcake. It’s a pink velvet cupcake with a mascarpone and fresh strawberry filling, strawberry buttercream and strawberry crunch on top. IT IS THE BEST CUPCAKE I’VE EVER HAD! The cupcake has all of the things—beautiful and lovingly made, perfectly sweet, fluffy, and crunchy (from the strawberry crunch). It has all these fun textures with an explosive flavor profile. As a strawberry lover, it hit the mark and then some! I immediately went back the next day and bought 4 more Strawberry Shorty cupcakes!

The bakery is cute, quaint, kid-friendly and beautifully decorated. The owners/bakers are SO NICE and FRIENDLY, it’s guaranteed they’ll put a smile on your face when you walk in. Besides cupcakes, they also have cookies, banana pudding (made fresh to order), hand pies, and cheesecakes. Make sure you follow them on instagram to see what their weekly menu is and their hours of operation.

Please support this lovely family and local bakery! You’ll be happy you did!! And don’t be dumb like me and order 1 thing the first time—order with your future self in mind! Haha! I can’t wait to go back and try more of their...
