When this place first opened up, based on the looks and non popularity I already had an idea what to expect. Although I didn’t want to be bias so I decided to give it a try. Coming from Southern California I was surprised when I saw them serving lengua (cow’s tongue) since it’s not too popular of a meat option here in the valley. So I got a burrito and the meat ended up being the worst part. Overcooked and dry, felt like I was eating carnitas. Horchata was drinkable but I paid 30 dollars for two items and a drink which isn’t reasonable whatsoever for what you get. Nothing personal just my opinion. Go to Taco Bell instead.

This taco shop is sooo good! I completely fell in love with their guacamole sauce and those huge burritos — seriously delicious. I usually get their tacos, but honestly, I could eat here almost every day when I’m in the area. I also love that they have DoorDash and a drive-thru, which makes it super convenient. Definitely way better than Muchas Gracias in my opinion! Plus, they’re open late (until around 11 PM), so it’s perfect for a late-night craving. Their aguas frescas are super refreshing, and their flan dessert is a total 10/10 — sweet, creamy, and absolutely perfect to finish off your meal.

Hit or miss experience I came back to Lucy’s Taco Shop because I previously had the asada burrito and rolled tacos, which were great. This time, I tried the lengua soft taco—also good—but the two-taco combo was disappointing. I wasn’t offered a soft taco option, and both the shredded beef and carnitas tacos were dry. The carnitas was a little too crispy, and the shell felt overcooked, more like a tostada. On the plus side, their horchata is really good. I’ll definitely stick to the asada burrito, rolled tacos, and horchata next time.

I gotta say, I was really excited to try Lucy Taco Shop especially after a long day of work. It was great that the shop was still open at 10 PM on a Friday night. My girlfriend, who also is from Bend, got the chicken fajita burrito and I kept it simple ordering a Chicken Burrito. Seeing all the authentic Mexican dishes on the menu made me think it would be authentic to Mexican falvors. I do have to say, that was the most confusing chicken burrito i have ever eaten. The chicken tasted like a shake and bake/italian flavored chicken with a rice o roni rice. The sauce tasted like some velveta ranch thing. The whole flavor profile tasted like what a college student whipped up from some leftovers in the fridge on a tortilla. Im not kidding at all. I am a chef and cook many different cuisines , Mexican being one of them. The hot salsa from the bar was the only thing that helped bring the flavor to a mexican chicken burrito flavor. I've never been so confused while eating a store bought burrito. My girlfriends chicken fajitas burrito was much better and tasted more authentic to a mexican flavor profile. The only thing i could think is the reason my chicken burrito tasted that way was it was the end of the evening and they just threw some things together that they had left and just passed it on as a chicken burrito. As ive mentioned, the whole experience was very strange and confusing. I would recommend changing the spices in your chicken when cooking to represent a mexican style chicken flavor. I would steer away from the chicken burrito, the other dishes might be better, but, there are other really authentic and amazing mexican restaurants a walking distance from lucys so i most likely will not try the other dishes due to this experience. Hope this long review helps making your...

We noticed Lucy's when it first opened and have been wondering if it's authentic Mexican food or something similar to Taco Bell. We had a chance to stop in last weekend and I can assure you it's authentic Mexican food. My husband was excited to see that they served lengua tacos and was impressed with the taste and quality. I really enjoyed my carnitas tacos - the carnitas were cooked perfectly (crispy on the edges and juicy). I liked that every order comes with chips and there are several salsas to choose from at the salsa bar. They even have grilled peppers and onions at the salsa bar, which took my tacos up a notch. I would not hesitate to recommend Lucy's Taco Shop. I see people complaining about the prices. If you are expecting to pay Taco Bell prices, then go to Taco Bell. If you want real quality and taste served quickly, then you will...

My husband and I tried Lucy's Taco shop for the first time. My husband had a sausage breakfast burrito, it was HUGE!! My husband enjoyed it. I had a three rolled beef tacos with rice and beans. The rolled tacos were good and actually had a fair amount of meat in them (I have had them at other Mexican fast food places, and there is hardly any meat in them). The rice was very good and I liked the beans, I added a little bit of salt on the beans, but that would be my only "complaint" if I had to write one. The service was friendly and the portions were generous, I could only finish half, and saved the rest for dinner. I will be returning to try different menu items...
