This play has a very warm atmosphere and super friendly staff. I had the standard number 13 two tacos with rice and beans. Let’s start off with the chips and salsa. The chips came out nice and warm and little salt with the standard salsa that was super flavorful and fresh and to top it off the give you a small bowl of their refried beans to dip the chips in. Onto the main plate, the beans had great flavor with a smooth creamy texture to it. The rice was good with slight hints of garlic and tomato. The crispy tacos were chicken and man talk about a month explosion with flavor. The chicken seemed to be marinated for a period of time with onion and small chunks of bell pepper. Overall disappointed. I went and got dinner last weekend and the food was good how ever the drinks and cost were terrible. First I had asked for a Strawberry Daiquiri and it arrived with Tequila in it.. never have I ever heard of somewhere doing this and I sure didn’t request it. I can’t stand Tequila, I made my husband drink it. When we got our bill it was $70+ no big deal, he gave me the card reader and I graciously gave him a $15 tip. He handed me my receipt and walked away. I grabbed the receipt and put it in my purse and went home. Later looked at the receipt and I was charged $134+. Stopped in from the petro truck stop across the street and had a really great home cooked meal. The service was excellent, the decor is upbeat and traditional, and the manager stopped by to greet us and check on us. I ordered the pollo mole which was really good and the other driver I’m traveling with ordered the burrito relleno. Mine was a large portion but his was humongous.
