I have never been treated so rudely and so poorly by a business. I organize a monthly luncheon for my work, usuallyabout 15 to 30 people. Sometimes we try new local restaurants to order from and they are normally very happy to receive our business and treat us very well. Because we haven't ordered through Nino's before, I called the month before and asked if they could accommodate our order. They asked me to call a day in advance and said it would be no problem. So, I sent out a link to my coworkers to Nino's online menu, they sent me their orders and paid me in advance based on the online pricing. I called today, the day before our lunch, to put in the order. The girl taking the order tells me their prices have increased. For example, a platter which was formerly $12.99 is now $16.99! Quite a large price increase, which means people haven't contributed enough. I told her I would have to call back. I spoke with some of my coworkers who all said they should honor their online pricing. I called back and asked for a manager. I was given the same girl who I spoke with in the beginning who is not a manager according to the person I talked to. I told her the situation and pointed out that it would be good customer service to honor their online prices as this is what they've put out to the public. She said she can't because the new pricing is in the computer. I told her that she could still give a discount on the order to help make up the difference. She told me she won't do that. I asked why no one told me about the price difference when I called a month ago. At first she said she spoke with me and she would have told me about it. I told her that she didn't tell me otherwise I would have asked for the new pricing so I wouldn't end up in a situation like this. Then she told me that the prices only changed 3 days ago so she couldn't have told me about the price increase a month ago. Clearly she's lying and can't get her story straight. Anyway she told me it doesn't matter because she won't discount it or honor the old prices which are still online. Wow. Truly a business who doesn't care about or values their customers. Also it says a lot about their integrity. Well, I let everyone here know that lunch was canceled and let them know how rudely I was treated. I'm just glad we didn't give them any...
Read moreHad the worst customer service experience Ordered 2 chicken Souvlkie platters Picked up food and went home, should have checked what they gave me. Opened food and they gave me 2 chicken Sharma meals, not platters. Called them back and told them what happened and let them know that I would like to come back in and get my correct food. They said that I would have to pay for it. I was baffled and said but you gave me the wrong food, they then said I’ll have to pay the difference ($5.00) I said that it’s ridiculous since now I have been inconvenienced but whatever. The cashier put me on hold and said fine I don’t have to pay. Offered to bring in the food and she said it’s not needed. Drove there and they started off by saying that they need to charge me for the $5.00 because I need to pay for the platter (includes rice) vs. meal does not. I said that would be fine if you had given me the right food. They argued that I actually did get chicken souvlkie because the chef remembers. I asked to speak to a manger, manager speaks to chef and I can hear them talking, chef says that I am lying that he remembers and I didn’t bring the food because I am just trying to get more. Now that I have been accused of lying, lied to about not having to pay, my new food hasn’t even started to be cooked yet and was told they won’t until I paid the 5 dollars. At this point I am beyond annoyed and all the staff is acting like I am the biggest inconvenience and annoying. The manager is in the kitchen cooking my food because I am pretty sure the chef refuses to. She is dramatically doing every action with frustrated movements. Including throwing my completed food in the boxes up on the counter.
Mistakes happen and that’s fine. However, accusing your customers of lying, telling your customers one thing and then retracting that statement and physically & vocally expressing frustration towards a customer for your mistake is inexcusable. This place made the biggest deal over their $5.00 error and took it out on...
Read moreNino’s Greek Cafe is the kind of place that feels like stepping into a sunlit corner of the Mediterranean without leaving Houston. The moment you enter, the space greets you with warmth — soft lighting, simple decor with tasteful Greek touches, and a relaxed vibe that makes you immediately want to settle in. Whether you’re meeting friends, catching up over coffee, or lingering through lunch, the ambiance strikes that sweet spot between casual comfort and something a little special.
The food and drinks here follow that same lovely pattern. Everything feels fresh and made with intention. Salads (if there are any) look crisp and vibrant; the flavor profiles have brightness — herbs, citrus, olive oil — that make each bite feel lively. The drink offerings — perhaps from strong coffees to light teas or soft drinks — match the food in quality and presentation. Portions seem generous enough to satisfy without overwhelming, which leaves room to enjoy more of what the menu offers.
Service is another standout. Staff seem to genuinely want you to enjoy your meal. The pacing feels respectful: not rushed, not slow, with those little touches that make you feel like a guest rather than just a customer. If there’s bread, it’s likely fresh; if something needs a refill, someone notices. Cleanliness and order show that care too — well-set tables, tidy surroundings, pleasant overall flow.
Overall, Nino’s Greek Cafe delivers everything you hope for in a Greek-café style place — great flavor, inviting vibe, and service that rounds it out. Five stars without a second thought. A spot I’d return to gladly, especially when craving comfort,...
