Pinay Good-Eats — Restaurant in Phoenix

Not used to the concept of food hub. This actually is called Highland Food Hub with Pinay Good Eats as its one of the many VIRTUAL stores it caters. And it is an extremely streamlined ordering process better off ordering from GrubHub.

Update: Sorry if my review didn't rub the others the right way and got defensive but this was my honest review without any h8 involved.

I just walked in to try this place and the whole ordering process was just too surreal. Human interaction was kept to a minimum since you order through this kiosk if you don't order through GrubHub. You take your ticket and wait until the person in the counter appears. She looks busy, alone and overwhelmed by the orders coming in automatically (since it also serves other multiple VIRTUAL food stores e.g. Capriotti's) with no room for deviation or order mistakes. Any question you have seems to be being avoided by the lone front counter who spends most of her time at the back room getting the bagged food ready for take out, leaving the front counter devoid of a person for...

We chose Pinay Good-Eats to cater my celebration of graduating from medical school, and we were extremely pleased! Being a first generation Filipino with extended family that runs their own catering businesses and restaurants, I was determined to find the perfect place to represent my roots for this momentous event. The quality, presentation, and flavors were SPOT-ON and I was so proud to have my guests (most of whom never had the opportunity to eat Filipino food) partake in the absolute deliciousness. Tita Cookie (Executive Chef/Owner) was an amazing delight to work with! Many of my guests have dietary restrictions and preferences, and I didn't want them to miss out on the amazing food. I explained this to Tita Cookie, and she was willing and able to accommodate this (that is a sign of a creative chef!) Thank you so much for the most delicious Filipino meal I have ever had since coming to the States.The meal was a fiesta that took me back to my childhood days in Manila. The Palabok is sublime and the portion is generous. I will be coming for more when I happen to be in the neighborhood. The kakanin, I cannot wait to dive into them. To those who are reading this review, please do not pay attention to the previous rude review before mine. The one star he gave is not justifiable at all.
