If I could give no stars I would due to the quality and aftermath of my purchase on 3/1/18 at approximately 6:48pm. I made what I thought was a purchase of 4pc. Combo, 5pc. Blackened tenders, 2 sweet teas, 2 coolies and Cream pies, 2 sides for an additional $1.00 each. This purchase was made at the drive thru. I was told that my total was $33 and some change. I work two jobs and was extremely tried. I thought that the amount seems high but I'm tried maybe I wrong. I gave the cashier $40(2 $20 bills). She gave me back $6 and some change and a receipt for the wrong order. I never looked at the receipt. She told me it would be about 5 minutes for my order and to pull around front and wait. I did that but went inside. The manager on duty asked what was my order and them took the receipt to look at it. On that receipt She saw shrimp and said "an order of shrimp. At that point I stopped her and said no. Then I finally got the opportunity to tell her my order then she turned around saw the expeditor receipt hanging for my order. She kept the receipt that I handed her(I think that was someone else's order which was $10 more then mine). She and the other employees got my order together and she gave it to me. I never received my actual receipt and she kept the other receipt for the other customer. She put the expeditor receipt in the bag which is for their use to pack your order. I never received a receipt with the dollar amount on it. I went home then we added all of the order up and they charged way to much for what was ordered. I went back to the restaurant on 3/2/18 and spoke to Clint about the error. He asked me to return on 3/3/18 to speak with Michael who is the General Manager. I did as asked. I told him all the above statements. He call David Wilburn who refused to give me the rest of my change from their mistakes. Michael said they can only give chicken as if I am lying about what happens. David Wilburn refused to speak with me on the phone at the restaurant. Michael said that I could not have his name or any contact information to take this matter further. They told me I did not have an original receipt with the dollar amount on but only the expeditor receipt. They never gave me an original receipt. The sad part about is how rude they are and they did not take responsibility for their employees mistakes. I must escalate this matter to the corporate level. I refused the offer of chicken because they are trying to make all this my fault and clearly it is not. I am a former emplyeee which makes this even worst. I work very hard every day, 80 hours a week. Take it from avoid this location. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. I will get the rest...
Read moreI hate to write bad reviews, but this Popeyes can be so much better. I've had this location a handfull of times over the last year, and the chicken is consistently NOT hot or crispy, and does not satisfy that "Popeyes" flavor/craving I grew up loving.
Today, I ordered several different things as it's been a while since I've come back (due to the above notes). I got a chicken sandwhich, chicken tenders (never had them before, wanted to try), lemon pepper wings (also never had them before and wanted to try), and a classic 3 piece.
The chicken sandwhich in my opinion has always been hit or miss depending on how long the sandwhich has been sitting there. This time, the buns were warm-ish, the chicken had an okay flavor but was definitely not fresh/crunch like you'd want.... But overall satisfied my partner's craving. 3.5/5.
The chicken tenders were bland, borderline cold, and flavorless. Definitely do not recommend, 1/5.
The lemon pepper wings was the 1 saving grace because they ran out right as I got there and I told them I'd wait for fresh ones. Good flavor, hot, crispy. Classic Popeyes. 4/5.
The 3 piece was disappointing. Like the tenders, they were bland, barely warm, and not crispy at all. 2.5/5.
Let's also talk about how often the workers forget to put the sauces in the bag. I ordered ahead online and it specifically asks you which sauce you want for the tenders/wings combo. I'm not watching them putting the bag together, so it should not be the expectation on the customer's part to look through the bag to confirm if the sauces are in there. Additionally, I had 3 boxes and a bag within my whole bag - I'm not looking through each of those containers to see if my sauce is in there. Just please put in the sauce, it's on the receipt!
The one saving grace was the worker who was at the front helping me. I was about to walk out and he reminded me of my drink. After I got it, I confirmed if it was the correct drink - which it wasn't. Read moreWhile placing my order the cashier, Jennifer, was rude and interrupted me to ask "medium or small" on my drink. When I said medium she told me the total price and I had to tell her I wasn't finished ordering. I went on to order an extra side and was again interrupted with "for here or to go" and again given the price (seems she was in a big hurry). I, again, told her I wasn't finished ordering and asked to upcharge one of my pieces to a chicken breast.
When my food was served there were no clean tables. Out of more than a dozen open tables they all had grease and/or crumbs strewn about. Three employees sat in a corner table and I told Jose, who appeared to be a manager based on his uniform, about the lack of a clean place to sit and eat my lunch. Jose was defensive and motioned to two tables with "fewer" crumbs than the rest and went on to explain that he and the other two employees are on break.
I asked for a box to take my food with me but due to having other errands to run I explained I could not take the food with me. I was told that the food had been served and I was not entitled to a refund.
Without having a bite of my $13+ lunch I simply left it on the cashiers counter and explained I would not be back and that I would be contacting Popeye's to inform of my awful experience.
