I've ordered Rosati's before, but never from this location. I'm not convinced that this is the same restaurant based on what I ordered/received and what I remember from Rosati's previously.
Breaded Mushrooms - these seemed like they had been sitting in the fryer forever. The breading was dark/burnt. When I bit in to one, there didn't seem to be any mushroom inside (or a very small amount if there was). Also, the bites seemed to explode with extra grease inside. WOULD NOT ORDER AGAIN.
We ordered the classic combo and requested that there were no olives on 2/3s of the pie, but there were olives on the entire thing. I'm not sure if it is the ordering app this location uses, but they didn't seem to be notified of the request or just ignored it.
I'm not sure if the olives tainted the flavor of the entire pizza, but the pizza sauce seemed to taste like something out of a jar or can - not good.
The Za was extra crispy, but we didn't request it to be that way. While we knew we were getting a thin crust pizza, this was one of of the worst executions of thin crust we've had.
Finally, we got some ranch with the mushrooms (it was provided) and we ordered an extra ranch. However, when I arrived, I requested a third ranch and the cashier obliged. When I arrived home, we only had 2 ranch cups.
Overall, I would not recommend this location based on our experience. Barros is so...
Read moreChanging ownership was a BAD move for this place, all the way around. We were overcharged one day for drinks we did not order and a coupon not properly applied to our check. The new owner hasn't spoken to us since the day we asked him to adjust the over-charges on this bill, although he appeared very friendly before This new owner is also burning through employees, not just customers - he can't keep good help when everyone seemed to like working here before. And there are several more signs of very bad business: All the traditional Rosati's decorations were taken off the walls by the new owner and now all you have to look at is boring monotone walls. The new owner also removed 3 of the 6 booths that were there when he bought the place, so now there are only 3 tables for dine-in, and no place to sit when it gets busy. Guess the new owner only likes people who come here to drink gallons of booze, as the liquor display is several times larger and dining area much smaller now. They even display a new T-shirt for sale which brags about the drunkenness of the average patron under the new owner. The t-shirt says: : "I got sauced at Rosati's in Cave Creek." All of this to say: A really nice pizza joint went to S--T with the new owner. He won't know where all his good customers went until he's broke and out of business. It's a sad day because this used to be a...
Read moreCatered Meal, Delivered--HUGE HIT! We worked with Jennifer Clouse at the Rosati's in Cave Creek for our group event...Dinner for 16. CC ROsati's did everything they said they would do and more--the event went off without a hitch. Not to mention, the food was EXCELLENT!
We created a "Rib Racks & Wings" dinner for our event, along with salad and cannolis for dessert.
FIrst, we had heard Rosati's racks of ribs were fantastic, but perhaps we had a little reservation ordering ribs (and wings) from a pizza/Italian shop...They were WONDERFUL. Ribs and wings were both prepared and cooked flawlessly. We requested extra sauces and dressing, check.
The wings rival any wing restaurant and the sauces have dynamite flavors (we ordered a variety)
Salad was delish and plentiful; cannolis were a big hit with everyone!
Last, CC Rosati's provided us with ample accoutrements, plates and utensils. Jennifer and her team at Roasati's took care of everything down the the smallest detail--al we had to do was work with her on a menu a couple days in advance, and paid over the phone. Could not have been any easier.
We will all DEF be back to CC...
