Couple of Saturdays back we went in to eat. I ordered my food. We were waiting for our sitting at one of the tables. They have a salsa bar inside, then I overheard the lady preparing my food asking the casher: "5 tacos, con todo?" she answered "si, con todo" ímediately I went and told them A big "No please! no cebolla (onion)" The casher said "sorry esque como no me dijiste que no cebolla" As she handed me the plate with onion on my tacos "I asked to please make me other ones that she never asked me if I wanted the topings on them, that I wasnt going to eat those" she said that if they did this the owner would make her pay for them That they always put the topings on the tacos only if the people ask for no of something they do that. I then asked: "why is there a salsa bar in the dine in area? I had figured they didn't asked me because people serve themselves from the salsa bar." She said the bar was only for pozole plates (there was no sign specifing it was only for pozole) the kitchen lady upset picked some onion off the tacos and threw it to a trash can and handed my tacos back I was sadden and grossed out I hate the taste of raw onion, I walked to the table where my family was sitting and told my husband I wasnt eating and showed him my tacos that still had alot of onion pieces on them. He handed me his card so I could order other tacos so I did. Disappointed I told the lady I would make a review of my experience hoping they would reconcider and take the tacos back and make me other tacos she said in a condecending tone BUT DO WRITE THAT YOU DIDNT TELL ME NO ONION! I replied I didn't BECAUSE she never asked! I saw the salsa bar and in other mexican restaurants normally the dining in custumer serves himself the topings. I never knew I had to tell them no onion because the salsa bar was only for certain customers. She said I was a bad person and that if I lied on my review the people working would get in trouble for a customer mistake. From now on I will always tell them even if I see a salsa bar because I dont like this situation specially order my food twice. Thankfully my husband's cebiche tostada was way smaller than he though so he was able to eat most of the onion tacos and they were NOT wasted. Our family constantly go to Salsitas and other Mexican Restaurants all over the valley but we are no longer visiting this specific restaurant. They have rags in a bucket to clean tables with, People: use them. My kid spilled his jamaica water, I told them in the counter there was a spill they were busy or ignoring me or both didnt come and I saw the rag bucket I grabed it and wipped the jamaica off first the table and seat and then the floor as I wiped I noticed the rag I was cleaning with had been white and after wiping it turned from jamaica red-pink to a brown dirt-dark gray color. I didn't want to place it back in the bucket so I signaled the lady to give it to her. I told her I had wiped the jamaica spill on the table AND under at the floor with the same rag. She went ahead and wiped an adjacent table with the same rag I had given her. I repeated to her I had wiped the floor with that rag and I didn't want to put it in the "bucket clean water" she then realized what she had done and took the dirty rag back inside and bought another rag she did thankfully wiped the table again with the clean rag though. She was still upset telling be to be honest on my review that there is a God who knows it all. I dont want to have anyone fired that is why I dont show my receipt with date and employee name or a picture of the onion tacos 🤢. I make this review so other people know in this restaurant the salsa bar I was told is only for people who order pozole and maybe hopefully someone improves her customer...
Read moreWhat a shame!! When their torta is made right, it can be really delicious. The problem is with their terrible service.
Let me begin by telling you the story of this torta. Back when I lived in buckeye, a Salsita's food truck was introduced to the community. I ordered a carne asada torta. Now I've gotten it so many times that I know it comes with: Carne Asada, Beans, American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Jalapeños, Guac, and Chipotle Sauce. I'm a picky girl so I like to hold the onions and jalapeños. The first time I had it in Buckeye it was made perfectly no complaints. A couple of visits later, I started seeing inconsistencies. If they ran out of An ingredient, they would leave it out without telling you. They would leave in onion or jalapeños or both. One time, they assumed since I didn't want jalapeños, that I also wouldn't want Chipotle sauce because its spicy (seriously). It's gotten to the point where every single time they mess up.
A few weeks ago, I went to the one 43rd ave and decided to give this Salsita's a shot. They didn't give me cheese? I have most definitely decided that workers just don't bother to learn what goes inside of the carne asada torta since I get a completely different torta every time.
Which brings me to last night! I visited this Salsita's late at night I will admit. However since this was a new Salsita's, I needed to make sure that they got the torta right. I asked the woman who took my order what the torta had inside. She repeated EXACTLY what I know the torta had inside. I said great, hold the onions and hold the jalapeños. Do you know what I got when I got home??? A soggy torta with JALAPEÑOS & ONIONS wand NO CHEESE. Oh yea and get this. A HAIR!!!! I honestly was more upset at the fact that I literally had asked the lady to repeat me my order. I called the store and she admitted that she had told me exactly what was in the torta but her crew failed to follow directions. She told me to drive back and that she would remake it. I told her all about how they always mess up my torta and that they should offer me a meal or a refund or something to which she told me that I should call the owner (have in the past, with no response). She refused to give me a free meal in the future and said she could only remake it, if i came back. I didn't even get to the hair, because I was so shocked by their nonchalance attitude, I figure that I will let social media and the internet take them down, one review at a time.
Advice from a marketer: Get a social listening platform so you can listen to your customers. Your reviews have plummeted over the last couple of years. It no wonder why.
I will never be back to Salsita's. I haven't had the original Buckeye torta in a couple of years now. Beware to anyone looking to go to Salsita's, because you'll never know what youll get. Jalepeños, onions, a hair? Who knows! Good luck fellow...
Read moreTerrible customer service. They are really so rude. I went there about 3:30 pm and ordered 4 tacos. They didn’t give me a plate because they said they only give plates when there is a lot of tacos. I could understand if there was only one or maybe two tacos but I ordered 4 for my self and they wrapped them in foil. When I asked if I could get a plate she responded with I didn’t get enough tacos. I was so confused. And to top that off when I ordered carnitas they put nothing but fat. there was no meat. Also they do serve homemade tortillas but they make them super early or something and just reheat them when people order, which defeats the purpose of going for the homemade tortillas they do not taste the same at all !! like when they are freshly made I’m Mexican I know the difference and you don’t even have to be Mexican you can tell. They just want your money they don’t care to give good customer service or give you food that will actually satisfy you. I’m so mad because I was really hungry and was on my way back to work. Smh! Maybe other locations are better but not this...
