I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience at Starbucks 75th and McDowell, and I feel the need to share my frustration. As someone who frequents various Starbucks locations, I've come to expect consistency in both service and policies. However, this particular location has completely missed the mark.
Let's start with the issue at hand - the light ice no ice debacle. It is common knowledge that Starbucks has implemented a new policy of charging an extra $1 for refreshers with no water. While I understand the reasoning behind this charge, what I cannot comprehend is the inconsistency in how this policy is applied across different locations.
At Starbucks 75th and McDowell, I was shocked to learn that they do not offer the option of light water for refreshers without imposing the additional charge. This claim is completely false and misleading to customers who are seeking alternatives. I can only assume that the management at this particular location is more concerned with meeting some kind of quota rather than serving the needs of their customers.
What adds to the frustration is that if you choose to order ahead via the app, you are presented with the option of light water with no additional charge. This inconsistency in policy is not only confusing but also exhibits a horrible practice on the part of Starbucks and the management at this specific location.

However, drive through is very long Q, entered by the side of the building that houses wingstop.
It makes it appear to be drive through for Wingstop, though it is not.
That is where the downside begins.
Rating only 4 stars due to difficulty in locating the drive through entrance itself, 20 minutes to get coffee and breakfast sandwiches, not a highpoint.
Mobile order = 20 min to pick up after entering order.
Order inside of business location = 20 min after order placed it will be expected to be ready.
Dine in = None Available
Pick up = only pickup, drive through, and delivery are available due to covid-19 restrictions.
I understand covid-19 restrictions have caused issues, no downgrade listed was due to covid, I took no point off due to anything covid related.
Score was based on customer service, food variety, food quality, food prepared per guidelines that starbucks has in place, or specific to customer needs and as ordered.
Good service, food and drinks spot on prepared as ordered. Yum.
Time to fill order was to long. It has no bearing if ordered in person I'm store, drive through, mobile app, or delivery, nor manner to pick up or receive any order, 20 min minimum wait time from completed order placement. Not very good in this area.
If not for the excessive wait time this would have been a 5 star review.
Perhaps The Starbuck's Team at this location could possibly find a way to resolve this particular issue. It impacts me because 20 min was much to much time to wait for a small order of Venti Mocha chino and 1 breakfast sandwich.

Read moreI placed an order through the app earlier today (4:43PM). When I showed up the line was too long and hardly moving. I left thinking I would pick it up later in the evening once the traffic died down. I was visiting family and finally got around to going to pick up my order with my sister around 8PM.
When we got to the intercom the lady told my sister there was no order in the system. My sister asked if I could get a refund. Lady said to pull foward.
When we get to the window a young man, who I assume is the Mgr, asks me when I placed the order. Phone in hand, I show him my order on the app and tell him the time I placed it and why I did not pick it up.
He proceeds to tell me that I should have walked into the store or called to tell them I was delaying my pick up. I pointed at my daughter, told him I was not going to take her in. Nowhere in the app does it indicate to call the store to delay pickup.
Mgr then tells me they don't fulfill these things but will make an exception this one time. He seriously questioned my integrity over 2 drinks with my app opened.
Long story short, this location lacks empathy (mother with child), organization (did they give my drinks to someone else?), and needs managment training (is staff checking orders picked up?).
They gave me my drinks, which by the way were not made correctly because the Mgr waited to talk to me before instructing staff to make them.
I'm never making another purchase at this location and hope corprate looks into the issues at hand.
